Sorry, been a busy day. BYU can't be embarrased again by an in state team. USU underperformed at the end of a game once again when they should have been able to win. Mistakes cost them. I think BYU will be confident that they will beat USU, but USU is much more talented than they were a few years ago. USU has had some trouble in the secondary, but their best corner will be returning for this game and should be ready to play. Chuckie Keaton is a much better and more mobile QB than Heaps and he is much more mature than heaps. USU has a lot of RB's whereas BYU is struggling in that area. I think USU has the better QB, the better backs, might be equal as far as recievers, USU has better tight ends but it all depends if the O-coordinator opens it up a bit, if he does, and I think he will, USU should be able to put up points against BYU. Overall I believe USU has the better offense and an equal to better defense. USU's problem is they haven't been able to put away a game and win it. On the other hand, USU hasn't lost by more than 4 points and that was to Auburn, whereas BYU hasn't won by more than 7 and they only beat UCF because of the special teams score or they probably would have lost that game. I got USU at +8 for 2 units, and I am going to put 2 more units on USU at +7.5.

My opinion and perception is that USU is a little faster than BYU and is not the old USU team that BYU is used to beating. I think if USU loses, it will be at the end of the game and it is a 1-3 point difference. I am probably being a homer, but I think USU is a better team and is much better coached, I will probably put a small amount on the USU ML too.

As you know I have no model, follow no capping norms, just go by what I think I see out of these teams in Utah and some of the others in the WAC. So, I am going with USU to cover and with a good chance of winning this game.

Good pick Dexter. I should have chimed in. I didn't see your pick but I took the 17.5 points on Tuesday and cha-ching! Glad we both hit. I have 2 more or maybe 3 already locked in. I got to check my thread. Oh, I took Nevada+28 and Auburn+10.5. I will go through the motions again tonight or early tomorrow. I am trying to scale back and take what is given to me and not force a pick. You know how that goes!

Ha Ha, after all of the wins you have sent my way, that is the least I could do. Nah, I am just happy that I called that game right. My only fear was that Riley would get in and get the win for BYU. Unfortunately that is exactly what happened.
