What sportsbooks in vegas have GOY lines?
I know golden nugget and hilton have them but are there any others? And how do I check those lines? Is there a way to check those lines through the internet?

My buddy is heading to vegas and I want him to place a GOY bet for me. Kind of nervous tying up a GOY bet with all that has happened with the online books.

Those are the only two that I know of, but he may want to check the "M" resort, if he is out that way. You are very smart goiing with a Vegas wager instead of going on line. i can just about guarantee you that the Hilton and/or Nugget will be there when you collect your wager. I cannot say the same about any on line book.

Those are the only 2, but they do vary, so you get a choice. M has NFL lines.

Your bets in Vegas will be paid. The Hilton and the Nugget aren't going anywhere.

The big problem you have is the Nugget lines came out early in June and the sharps moved the lines tremendously in the first few hours. The Hilton lines come out much later, they usually aren't much off of the revised Nugget lines. The best time to bet is immediately when the lines come out at the Nugget.

Who's to say they moved the lines the right way? People with big money moved the lines. Sharps or squares no one is right or wrong with every bet. I still see value in some of the lines. So there is no problem. But thanks for looking out.

Well, there is this. So I put up those lines for the Stratosphere last night. Went to the Strat this morning made a few bets, and every line was exactly the same. Sometime during the day today Cantor put out their week one college lines. The lines then moved drastically a couple of hours after Cantor put their lines out. Want to see some craziness? So here are the differences/possible middles (if you're into that sort of thing) you could have right now if you were one of the few who got the good numbers at the Stratosphere:

                    Cantor# Strat#
                    Oregon -3 LSU -3
                    NIU -8 NIU -13
                    Cal -10.5 Cal -6
                    TCU -6.5 TCU -9
                    BC -2 BC -6
South Car -20 South Car -16
                    Pitt -30 Pitt -26

Those are the largest disparities, but there were many other 2 point spreads around a key number that could have also been bet. There are a few people in this town that most likely made some future money today, or at least put themselves in a position of little risk with the potential of great reward.

                        Inkwell,
Do you have any opinion on which book is sharper, Strat or Cantor?

The Strat copied their lines from some online site, Betonline or something. Cantor put out all original lines.
I would say that the Cantor lines are probably sharper given that all the lines at the Strat now closely resemble the Cantor lines, but I really don't know. Maybe these Betonline dudes are great cappers. Cantor is all algorithms and computer based I'm pretty sure (I'm not really sure what BetOnline does)

I would say that Cantor has more to lose by putting out weak lines than Betonline does!

Cantor is incredibly difficult to beat.

Great post. I totally agree with you. I have not had good luck against Cantor. It's nice to have a few different, and aggressive, books in town.

Harrah's still remains the worst, IMO.

Actually Harrah's is one of the Top 3 to 5 outs in town.

But that's irrelevant since they will soon become another Cantor zombie.

                                  Die Cantor die.

Bally's, Bills, and those properties are fine, but juice certain events ridiculously and MGM and it's books have got to be the worst.
