Ever since they stopped Oklahoma's win streak, I've always rooted against them. Of course recently they have not been too good, so it's not as much fun.

Hate to be a bandwagon fan but I liked them when they were good, like in the late 90's. I don't like to watch them when they are bad. Well in comparison to past ND teams they have been subpar lately not BAD. I guess I miss watching them dominate teams like they used to. So I pull for them to be good. It just seems like the football season is always better when ND is near top.

They are always hyped every season and they win like 5 or 6 games but they hammered my boys in the bowl game last year

I like the Irish and things are actually looking pretty good for them this year. Kelly has his first year at Notre Dame under his belt and has lots of experienced players back. I hope that they do get back in the mix. It makes things more interesting and gives the Irish haters something to bitch about.

Nothing surprising about fans explaining why or making up excuses as to the Irish football team under-achieved yet again. Thier schedule is weak year-in and year-out. 8 wins is nothing to brag about for most fans.....but I guess its fine for you.

I'm not a big Irish fan, in fact I just like to win, but I will go out on a limb and say that I do believe that the Notre Dame football team will be a top 10 in terms of power team this year that is capable of beating any team on a given day.
