What I see this year is a team that has a good chance to win the Big 10, but has no runnning game at all. A team whose QB led the team in rushing last year. A team whose leading receiver had 44 receptions for 494 yards. One injury to Martinez and your season is over. Nebraska has an average offense at best. So stop with the homer B.S. Martinez is nowheres near as good as Persa, Cousins, or Robinson, and those are just the Big 10 QB's. Illinois Freshman QB Scheelhasse had better stats than Martinez did last season. And you think that Martinez, who is a head case, is Heisman material? Wisconsin's leading rusher last season is going to be their 2nd string RB this season. Nebraska does not even have a starting RB returning from last years team. It is up to your defense. Your offense is not going to win the Big 10 Title.
Bodog just posted their Heisman odds and Martinez is listed as a candidate.

              Hey bigdaddyQH

and you say Nebraska don't have a running game.

Martinez and Burkhead are back, we got the number 1 rb recruit in Aaron Greene and also picked up another good freshman in Ameer Abdullah.

Stay off my thread. It's obvious you know nothing about this team, you just wanna talk shit.

Who does this guy think he is? What a homer? Predicting a top 10 team can run the table blah blah blah Shut the **** up! Get outta here with that shit

Helu led the team in rushing last year with 1245 yards 11 tds
martines had 965 yards with 12 tds
burkhead off the bench had 951 yards with 7 tds

even counting the last 4 games where martinez was injured and cody green got playing time. NU still finished with #9 overall rushing offense

First of all skers, YOU do NOT tell me where to post and where not to post. How would you like me to wrap that homer arse of yours around your neck? YOU do NOT tell anyone in here what to do. Got that boy? If Nebraska DOES NOT go undefeated, I am going to kick your tail up one wall and down another. Homers like you are not worth s**t. What happened to you farm boys when you played USC? You got your tails kicked TWICE. What happened when you played Texas? You lost TWICE. You almost lost to South Dakota State. And you thnik that Martinezz is a Heisman Candidate. Homer tells us that Bodog has odds that Martinea wins the Heisman. What the deuche bag Homer conviently forgets to mention is that those odds are 75/1, the same as two other QB's, and higher than 16 other QB's, much less other non-QB candidates. I guess that makes him tied for the 17th best QB in the nation, overall. How many pre-season All Star teams is he on, big mouth? Way to go. Take your B.S. someplace else. Posters in here have more than a 6th grade education, something you folks from Nebraska seem to lack. I did not know that SBR allowed 12 year olds to post in here.

Bring it! Im more than willing to give u a good old fashioned Nebraska ass whooping. My point is everything u post is complete bull shit. Yeah lets bring up USC and the callahan years? Nebraska can't rush the ball? Martinez isn't a heisman candidate yet u can bet on it preseason? Your right, you can post wherever but u dont know shit. I agree. I'm totally going out on a limb saying they go undefeated. Big 10 is physical, but NU has always been known for that. The difference is we bring in the big 12 speed and have the potential to run circles around the big 10s big uglies.

if we win @wisconsin @michigan and @ penn st, its not that big of a stretch.

if u look at the youtube videos i posted our skill positions on offense are much improved. and we bringing in a top 5 defense to say the least

Why would yo want him compared to Denard? He can't throw. His speed is all he's got. That being said it works when your really fast in College Football, but Martinez has average speed.

Nebraska should be in the hunt for the title because there are no clear front runners and the conference may be a little down this year, but they won't be running any tables.

Im pretty sure i posted ESPN Sports Science talking about Martinez speed in this thread, but if not look here it is again.

Martinez also completed over 60% of his passes before injury
