    Boise State's Smurf Turf Unfair
At least that's what San Diego State head coach Rocky Long thinks.

"I think they ought to get rid of that blue turf. I think its unfair," Long said. "It takes the visiting team a quarter or two to get used to that different field. Players track the ball differently on the blue turf, particularly since Boise State traditionally wears all blue uniforms on the bule turf."

Although the talent on the field and good coaching have more to do with wins, the Bronco's are 69-2 at home since 2000 playing on the blue surface.

Does Long have a case that the Smurf Turf does favor Boise? Like to know what you guys think about this............

Having a green field should be standard if it is not a natural grass field. You seen Eastern washington's field?? What next? A rainbow field? Purple? Let's stick to playing football. All those gay ass colors on the field are uncalled for.

It is up to the NCAA to make rules governing this situation. As long as they refuse to do so, no one has a complaint.

I think all artificial turf teams should recolor their rugs to match the color of the uniforms to increase their home field advantage.

That will give me one more thing to track in my data base.

I'm from the old school. Every field should be natural grass. If it rains...play in it. If the grass dies....play on the dirt.

              I hate the artificial fields.

Of course it's a huge advantage. Why do you think big boy schools don't go to that pathetic cheese field.

It's no more of an advantage than astro turf or something like that.
