Auburn backers: Do you ignore this?

I personally can't bring myself to pick a side here, but if I could bet using Bodog's square lineset, I'd be all over +3 (-120). Unfortunately, Bodog will switch you off of that lineset very quickly if you sign up there.

I have a Bodog account, and they're giving me +3 (-135), which isn't nearly as enticing. Made a small play anyway.

Lean towards under.

I agree Bodog sucks when it comes to ML's. I may swap books. But on the line movement: The line movement either way doesn't determine the outcome of a game! The game hasn't even started yet and already people are saying Oregon has won simply based on line movement. Sure line movement, stats, etc play into making a decision but I'm a firm believer if you feel confident in a play, play it. Don't second guess it because money is being thrown around one or another

I see your point. But there is more than one way to look at it...

Do you think they opened the lines as they did to get the action they wanted and received?

Its going to move as the money rolls in regardless. The scalping is just a byproduct of this. The question is which side did it roll in on and which side did they want it to roll in on?

Ah, the infamous 'line movement' thread. No Coin, all bigtime games are going to have line movement since they are so heavily bet. I have watched both teams play at least six games this season & Auburn is the more complete team. It is really that simple.

how do you ever look at the altered vig ATS? i do all the time and it seems to hit a lot if you take the increased vig.

I disagree. Sharps don't middle until much later in the day. The line movement was due to squares betting the Ducks. They saw the line going down sharply, there was no reason to middle early in the day.

Squares lose this one. A great middle was betting Oregon -1 -105 for the second half.

But, this is still a game that could have gone either way. Nobody should brag that they were "so smart" because they won. Another day, another outcome.
