Pittsburgh's Athletic Dept. Looks Stupid

Apparently, Mike Haywood didn't understand the responsibilities of being named a head football coach of a big program. The new coach at Pitt is out after his arrest on domestic violence charge. Haywood moved from the Miami (Ohio) job to Panthers' position on December 16. Now, Haywood is known for having a shorter tenure as a head coach than former Alabama coach Mike Price, who ruffled Tide feathers with some women in Northwest Florida a few years ago. Innocent until proven guilty on his criminal charge, Haywood still paid the price for his poor judgement. Pittsburgh's athletic repetition is also paying a price. Maybe others will learn from the likes of Haywood and Price.

Yes but he didn't lie on his application like current UCF and shortess tenured ND coach O'leary. I guess the moment got the best of Haywood.

I think Haywood looks a lot stupider than Pittsburgh. They will hire a new coach and this won't even really effect them. Look at Haywood though, dude works to finally get a shot at being a HC and blows it that fast? He's got to be kicking himself now.

Rainmaker, not only is Haywood SUPID, he's dumb as a rock.

Golden opportunity and he just throws it away.

Pretty sad for all involved.

JoePa is pushing for Tom Bradley, probably so that there is less competition for his son to succeed him when he finally calls it a career.
