    Orange bowl stan/vt debate
So who's picking what tomorrow night?! I think VT should be praised for their wonderful season after such a dismal start. They've ran under the radar and I haven't heard much about them or seen them on TV. But the ACC isnt what it used to be, so I doubt they had that much trouble winning lately. I think the -3 spread is ripe for the picking. Stanford is a great team and their QB is dependable. I look for him to carry Stanford to victory, at least by 4! LOL I just don't think VT can match Stanford's talent. Thoughts?!? Anyone?! Let's work this out and get PAID!

Taylor has been great the second half of the season and I see Stanford having trouble stopping him! I am going with VT.

This is a very hard game to pick - I think both teams are very underrated, especially VaTech. I may stay away or put a small wager on VaTech ML.

I agree, very hard to chose. I'm torn between the VaTech ML or the Stanford spread. Definitely like the over though - VaTech over 58 6/13 on the season; Stanford 8/12. I think neither defense really has the ability to shut down the other one - yes, Stanford's had 3 shutouts on the season, but those came against lackluster Oregon St, UCLA, and Washington (granted washington pulled out a great win against nebraska the other day, but I'm chalking that up as due to the game being a rematch). VaTech, on the other hand, just hasn't really had it together on defense - their one shutout came to Boston College, and they frequently give up 21+ points to their opponents (8/13), even ones that aren't too skillful on offense (James Madison, ECU, Central Mich, Wake,).

Definitely going with the over on this. Likely going with the Stanford points, maybe even the Stanford Alt Spread (probably -7.5)

I love that this game is getting equal backing on both sides on this board. Booked Stanford -3 5X a few days ago. Stanford D will surprise you.

This is an awesome matchup. I am going to go with Stanford though. VT's defense is a little bit overrated, and the extra practice time will give Stanford more of an advantage.

I don't know if either of the teams can stop the others offense, so who can actually get a few stops. I guess I'd have to say VaTech.

Vatech will most likely be the second best team that standford has played this year after oregon.. Va tech has just as good if not better defense then oregon..Standford has andrew luck...tough game

i like va tech, but it feels like one of my "i'm gonna try to be a hero and fail" kinda plays. va tech moneyline for me. wouldn't be surprised to see the stanford d shut em down, but the bcs stage is nothing new to these guys and that's really what i'm banking on. good luck, this is a difficult one to call.

they're focused and they've been there before. this big stage is new to stanford. they can out-muscle tech but will they be able to really make the big bowl adjustments that tech can make? i added a play on the tech spread because i think this will be tight and i don't want any nightmarish wisky/tcu-esque finishes ******* me up.

they bounced back from the james madison loss the way florida bounced back from the ole miss loss a couple of years ago. i truly believe we will see a great performance from tech, and i fukking HATE betting an acc team to do anything ever, even within their own conference.

that's just my thoughts. va tech has been pretty unstoppable this year, and even though their conference sucks, no one else is handling business these last 11 games like they have been week in and week out. arguably not even stanford.

Stanford's only loss was against the team playing for the Championship and they started fast in that game, but got rolled in the 2H.. Yes VT bounced back, but it's not like they slayed any dragons alongs the way. Boils down to 2 decent teams from 2 shitty conferences that nobody here seems to know anything about.

And as far as making "big bowl adjustments" I would rather rely on Stanford to do that than VT. Harbough is a solid coach and all of Stanfords players have a IQ above room temperature... Tough call.

Just don't need the distraction in a game like this.. one interesting stat. VT is 1-26 S/U in programs history against top 5 teams and Stanford #5. VT has more speed and athletes than Stanford, but Stanford has brains.. Coin flip.. I'll flip tommorow

Tough call.

Told ya VT doesn't do well in the spotlight. I look for Harbaugh to out coach Beamer. Beamer has chitty luck too, exact opposite of The Mad Hadder's luck. That's also why I think LSU pulls out a victory. Luck on their side. And yes the ARK spread is a gift. Theyll whip OSU.

Anyways.. It is a tough call. What I don't like is all the distraction about Harbough and Luck.. leaving/staying... Just don't need the distraction in a game like this.. one interesting stat. VT is 1-26 S/U in programs history against top 5 teams and Stanford #5. VT has more speed and athletes than Stanford, but Stanford has brains.. Coin flip.. I'll flip tommorow
