He isn't better than Freidgen. Through 10 years at Maryland Freidgen went 74-50, Edsall in 10 years at UCONN 63-60. The ACC is a historically tougher conference than the Big East, putting even more value in Freidgens record over Edsall's. I am not saying that Edsall is a bad coach but I though that Maryland was trying to upgrade at the position and I don't see an upgrade here. Edsall trades one basketball school for another. I think the Maryland AD has lost his mind.

How could you coach football at uconn, a school where womans basketball comes first LMFAO, Maryland really made a bad call on edsall over leach, but i kind of think leach may have not been sold because picking edsall over leach is a down grade all around 4 sure next to leach a big 12 winning coach, IMO.
