Thoughts on Michigan-Miss St game

I wanna throw down on Miss State Also.

What im not concerned about is Miss States motivation. Who is Miss State to take a New Years day Bowl lightly. As a perennial SEC bottom feeder im sure they will be motivated.

What im concerned about is the SEC and Big 10 as a whole. South Carolina looks terrible...Tenn just lost to NC...and Georgia loses to UCF. Is Mich State gonna shock Alabama? Now look at the Big 10. Iowa and Illinois represented well. Not a large pool to evaluate here so far but it seems every year people ride the SEC jock...to include me and then they let me down in Bowls. I may have just talked myself into Michigan.

Well, I am going with Michigan even though I Understand your way of thinking in this match up. I guess my strongest point would be that Michigan's players will come out fired up to fight for their coach They can also be explosive on offense as we have seen, but I hope that they play in the second half like they probably will play in the First. BOL

Miss St should be motivated, 2nd yr coach has taken them to best record in 10 yrs, and just extended his contract.
So they are on the upswing. On the rise.
Mich coach is getting fired, the kids know it, will they fold or fight for a win for the coach?
Miss St can run the ball VERY WELL, and Michigan is terrible at stopping the run.
Miss St should be good at stopping QB Robinson from running, and Robinson is not much of a passer.
The line has dropped from -6 to - 3.5 even though 59% of the money is on Miss St. That scares me.

Serbone makes some good points and I agree with most.

What scares the hell out of me is Robinson and his speed. If he is ON, this game will be a
dogfight.

Don't count Michigan out of this one my friends.

denard robinson is gonna find out the challenge that comes with facing a stout front 7 miss. st brings on defense which is their strength, and they r a sound, disciplined unit that wont fall prey to missed assignments which is wut sum teams struggle to do vs michigan because of robinsons threat to run and pass. i expect miss st to bring controlled pressure packages and make sure to keep contain on robinson at all times. it should be enough to slow him down in the early going and miss st will try to establish and hold the lead by pounding the rock behind a physical line on offense and have playmakers there as well including relf at QB. I like the more sound football team in this one, that is mississipi state they should be able to make their mark in this game vs an inconsistent michigan offense and a fragile defense.

I dont think it will go over Michigan O did nothing against good teams..Only time they did n e thing when was when the game was already out of hand...Only thing that is scaring me is that damn line movement but Michigan is garbage under Rich Rod

N e 1 who has watched michigan closely could see this coming a mile away...I just wished that dang line movement wouldnt have scared me off as much as I was wantin to go....Feel bad for Michigan backers though...I'm a huge fan of the Big Blue but no way would I ever put a dime on them
