    If you had a son.....
who was the best at his position in college football, like Jake was last year, do you:

    1. suggest he goes pro
    2. suggest he comes back for another year of college ball
    3. leave it up to him, and dont say a word

I know what I would say......

Seeing Locker laying on the field, I thought aout this. What if he could never play again? He just cost himself millions, his famiy financial stability beyond belief, and any children one day a golden ticket through life. All to come back to a crap team, and maybe to get to a bowl?

Im sorry, I am all for education, but that is one of the dumbest decisions one could ever make. That decision effects more than just yourself. Luckily, it looks like he survived and will be a millionaire soon, but one hit and that could have been it.

If someone offered you or I a job that pays 300 k a year, compared to the say 70 k we currently make doing the same job, would you turn it down???? i would feel like i am depriving my family of a better life. JMO

totally agree... i really dont think a college educations means as much as it used too...still nice to have. Isn't one of the main purposes of getting a college degree to get you a good job? So if you get offered a good job that does not need a degree, and pays 10x what that degree will earn you, why not take it? Plus putting yourself at risk for a career ending injury is too big a chance.

    my 2 cents
