    10sec run off - TEN v N CAR
Why was 10s not run off the clock at the end of the game when there was 1second left and N.Car had 13 players on the field. This stopped the clock but it was an offensive foul which should have been an automatic run off.

In effect they were able to stop the clock by committing a foul

    Someone pls explain

I think college rules are different from NFL. That was surprised a lot of people.

This is what i can find so far. NFL rule below. Can someone find out if there is a NCAAF rule or is it the same

In the NFL, a 10-second penalty is also assessed if any of the following acts are committed by the offense under one minute in either half:
            1. A foul by either team that prevents the ball from being snapped
            2. Intentional grounding
            3. Illegal forward pass beyond the line of scrimmage
            4. Throwing a backwards pass out of bounds
            5. Spiking or throwing the ball away after a down (unless after a touchdown)
            6. Any other intentional act that causes the clock to stop

The 10-second penalty does not apply if the clock is stopped when the ball is set for play and will not start until the ball is snapped, if the team on offense with time-outs elects to use one in lieu of the runoff, or if the defense declines the runoff (which prevents a team from committing fouls to intentionally run out the clock). In addition, the game clock will run once the ball is placed. If such a runoff occurs with 10 seconds or less remaining, the half automatically ends
