yeah all those sub 6 foot slow footed players Army has on defense will struggle vs one of the archeticts of the run and shoot.

If I had to take a side it would be SMU. After watching the Army/Navy game I don't think I would bet on army at all.

im on smu too. just worried that 80% of the public is on them as well. hard to go against a june jones team when they play a very mediocre team in army. gl everyone

don't know about the over. Don't think army scores that many and june jones won't run up the score against army at the armed forces bowl.

I don't like how everyone is on SMU and my bowl picks have been terrible so far so I should be faded....but anyway, it has to be SMU, surely???

Whats your guys' opinion/reasoning for Over/Under on this game? I'm hesitant to go with the over because of how fast Army will run down the clock. I would like to think Army's defense will do reasonably well vs. SMU but I don't expect Army to get any sort of offense going. Also, I don't think any team would run up the score against an Army team in an Armed Services Bowl, but I might just be naive.

I'm going to go with:

2u* SMU -7.5
1u* Under 1H 26

I hate taking such a publicly favored team...but I don't see how you can bet Army here...might be a pass.

ok lets get this out of the way, everyone is terrified how everyone is on SMU. everyone should calm down about that considering how the public has been on the winning side since the bowls started. the nav and army game should show why smu should have a field day with army. navy only throwed 6 passes totaling 186 yards LOL, army's pass off is ranked 130th while SMU is 22nd. army's pass D will not be able to keep up with SMU's pass off.

I don't know man, I'd stay away from the total as this game could get out of control on the scoreboard. I mean come on a 7-6 team favored by a touch? This is a terrible matchup for Army as they will have to chase 4-5 Wr's for four quarters, and the 'stangs Padron can make them pay. My only concern is SMU's defense who can easily get lit up, but Army has problems scoring and with damn near 30 days to prepare for the double wing attack that should be a wash.
