I guess I should have worded it better. If you have control and your body crosses the goaline and the ball could have crossed the goaline as well, its' a TD. Example, when guys run to the corner of the endzone and they have the ball in their arm closest to sideline, and they just barely run into the corner of the endzone. It's still a TD even though the ball didn't "actually" cross the plane.

So as long as the ref "deems" the ball would have crossed. TD. Look it up.
