    #1
    Champs Sports Bowl
A little Big East verse ACC pride on the line in today's Champs Bowl. Both West Virginia and North Carolina State have been money during the season with each going 8-3 against the spread. The eight wins are the most for NCS since 2003 and WV comes in with their third straight nine win season.

Much of North Carolina State's success today will depend on how well QB Russell Wilson performs. He passed for 3,288 yards and 26 touchdowns this season. The problem Wilson will face is twofold; one is a questionable offensive line that has been inconsistent and the other is a WVU secondary that is rated #11 in the nation. Add to that, the Mounties defense has registered 40 sacks and ranks #2 in keeping opponents from scoring.

WV quarterback Geno Smith has played steady completing 65 percent of his passes for 26 touchdowns and only 6 interceptions. He will get needed help from RB Noel Devine who should be healthy from a foot injury with the extra rest since the end of the season. Now if the O-line will step up and help them out it could be a very productive day for both. The offensive line has been a problem all season with inconsistency. If they can protect Smith and open holes for Devine, then it could be a good day for the offense.

West Virginia has a solid defense and if they can get some help from the offense, should win this game. Best of luck with your choice.
