On the other hand, Louisville did lose 6 games, but 5 of them were inside 8 points to the likes of West Virginia, South Florida, Oregon State and Kentucky. They also had an impressive 26-0 win vs BCS bound UConn. They only surrendered 30 points twice this year, playing stiffer competition.

The common opponent was Memphis, with Lousville winning 56-0 and Southern Miss winning 41-19.

Did you really throw UTEP into the conversation with Southern Miss? UTEP is and has been horrible and has been on a downward slide since the beginning of October. Southern Miss puts up points and has a decent Offense. Im still not saying I am convinced Southern Miss is the play but right now if I had to make a play it would be on Southern Miss

Fair enough....but the Big East is and always has been ahead of C-USA, there is absolutely no disputing that fact.

Sure the Big East isn't a powerhouse, but the likes of Pitt, WVU, UConn, Louisville, South Florida rank ahead of the likes of UCF, Tulsa, Southern Miss, ECU and UTEP.

I'm really conflicted on this game as well. Southern Miss has a nice offense but the Louisville defense is ranked 11th in the nation. That also tells you that the Louisville offense is not that good, Going 6-6 when you have the 11th best defense in the nation means your offense doesn't move the ball all that great. The Southern Miss defense seems to be pretty sloppy. They gave up 44 points to East Carolina, 50 to UAB, 30 to Tulane (Tulane scored 30 or points just 3 times this season), 41 to Houston, and 56 to Tulsa. That makes me lean towards Louisville here but I'm not real confident because offense can be pretty stagnant.

Well JW, what'd ya End up going with?! I played a teaser SoMiss +14.5 and Under 60 (paid). Also took 1Q Over 13.5 (paid) but I got greedy and played 2H Over 31 and lossed.

This was one of those games tha required you not to overthink. Just play the better team from the better conference with the spread being so low. The game turned out closer then I expected, but a win for Louisville nonetheless.
