    Alabama Signs Three JUCOs
Alabama has signed three junior college players this weekend and if Saban's track record with Juco players hold firm, all three will play next season. Terrence Cody (NT), James Carpenter (OT) and DeQuan Menzie (DB) are examples of junior college players who started in their first games at Alabama.

Jesse Williams, a 6-4, 330 pound defensive lineman is rated the #1 juco prospect in the nation. He played last season at Arizona Western.

Aaron Douglas, a defensive lineman also from Arizona Western was a freshman starter and All-American at Tennessee before leaving for jr. college.

Quinton Dial, 6-5, 310 pounds signed with Bama out of high school but had to go to Community College. Another defensive lineman expected to help his first year.

Alabama is headed for another great recruiting class. Maybe #1.

Saban always seems to get the kids he wants.

Alabama has never been a school to sign junior college players and Saban has kind of broke that pattern since he's been there. If he signs a Juco....his mindset is that they will start.

He's had great success so far.

Dont know much the other two JUCOs but as a Tennessee fan I can tell you that Aaron Douglas is one wierd kid. There was a lot of rumors spread about him when he left Tennessee which could have been thrown out there in malice due to his departure. Everything from depression to pill popping was put out there, one thing I can say that is 100% true is that he is a white kid that makes terrible rap music. Showed promise at Tennessee as a freshman at RT, will be interesting to see how he finishes out his career at Bama.

Saban thinks Douglas will come in and compete right away for the Left Tackle spot. I think this Jesse Williams dude will be an absolute beast. Think Terrance Cody without the fat and instead just muscle. Supposedly a very dominant player at his position.

Alabama is setting itself up nicely for the next few seasons. We could very well see a BCS bowl system dominated by teams from Alabama.

The fact that Douglas "decided" to go to Alabama after his father played for UT and his mother was on a Lady Vols NC basketball team shows me that he's still not grown out of the dumbass factor he had while here... He's still immature as hell and going out to Arizona JUCO apparently didn't make him grow up much.

Just keep the women away (as he gets attached and then has a broken heart when they dump his ass), and keep the medicinal items locked up as he tends to like those things as well... do that and you've got a really nice player.

There isn't a lot of homework to do... it was relatively common knowledge, particularly by the beat writers that covered the Vols during Kiffin's season...

I hope the kid's got his head on straight now and plays up to his potential... my only judgement on it was based on his decision to "stick it to Dooley" leads me to believe he hasn't.

Its being reported that Douglas was stopped for DUI last night. He continues to give his doubters plenty of ammo.
