Will Cam Newton be a good Pro?

Is Vince Young a good pro QB? NO. Hes pretty much VY in college. Never had to read a defense and ran the spread. Look at all spread QBs numbers. Their completion % is always good

I say yes. At his height and weight, with the quickness he has, an NFL coach should make him a great player.

Cam's mechanics are better than VY, although he needs much work on using his lower body in his throws. His release point is more fundamentally sound than VY's is currently.

Bunch of haters.. Dont compare cam to jason...jason is an avg qb in the nfl just because he went to the reskins which have shown in history they can not build up a qb at all... An saying cam is not a drop back passer did u not watch the alabama game they took away the run an he torched a good bama defense in a hostile enviorment.. An what about south carolina he threw for 3 tds an over 300 yds...an people on here saying locker is the best give me 1 top defense he has played in college...ill wait.. Its all about schemes in nfl.. If tom brady went to the redskins out of michigan.. He would be another jason or heath..if u get lucky an go to a good scheme with a well ran orginization then u have a chance..

I doubt he will, the NFL is so different than college. He's not super fast like Vick, so he's not outrunning defenders. I question his reading ability in sophisticated pro defenses as well. But like all prospects, no one knows until they play

Vince Young would be an excellent QB in the NFL if he wasn't a head case. Newton is better than Young and seems to have his head on straight.

Newton will be playing on Sundays for a while.

It hard to say, but he seems very similar to Vince Young, but looks to be a better passer.

Young's biggest obstacle to being a good pro is his inability to handle the mental pressures of the job; I'm not sure that anyone knows how Newton will handle that.

Wouldn't surprise me if he became a good NFL quarterback. Handled the pressure at Auburn and kept winning, lead team to several comebacks as well.
