Auburn's Malzahn turns down Vanderbilt and $3 Million
Yesterday it was reported that Auburn offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn would take the head coaching job at Vanderbilt at about $3 million annually. Seems that report was premature. Malzahn has turned down Vanderbilt and will receive a huge pay raise with the Tigers ($1.3 million) to continue at his current position. He would become one of the highest paid assistants in the country.

Auburn was the only SEC team to return their entire coaching staff for 2010. Looks like it has paid off.
