What's funny is Bob Ley on ESPN said Oregon opened as favorite, and Mark May and Robert Smith both seemed shocked. Looks like there gonna pound Auburn, as will I.

#37What do you guys need? A road map? You haven't figured this out yet? This is Gambling 101. This is easy money, just like Oregon has been all season. Take Auburn in the 1st half, and Oregon in the 2nd half. How easier can it possibly get? Oregon is going to wear Auburn out. The ONLY question is how big of a lead Auburn can build in the first half. Will it be big enough for them to hold on? Take these wagers, and screw the game wager. The half wagers are easy money.Comment -

#39I think the line tightens once the reaction wears off. Oregon has better talent except at qb. Auburn has played great defense in the 2nd halfs since the Arkansas game. But with a month to prepare and in the role of underdog I'd give the edge to the team with a little better talent and coaching; Oregon.Comment -

#40Oregon is not in the same class as Auburn... Auburn will win easy. PAC10 is a joke and there's no way Oregon would go undefeated in the SEC or Big Ten.Comment -

You are absolutely right sir.
Fellas...as I have been telling you for the last month...do not overthink this. Auburn cannot be stopped. I said it before Georgia, Bama and yesterday. Auburn has beaten 5 teams in the BCS top 25...Oregon...1.
Oregon will not wear down Auburn...that is laughable. Oregon will get wore down....they haven't teams all year (except Stanford) on a consistent basis in the likes of Bama, Arkansas, LSU, S.Carolina and the rest of the SEC.
Also, take notice of the improving Auburn defense. Do the research to find out how they have faired against the rush in the last month....it is ridiculous.
Obviously, this is just the beginning of our educated conversation regarding this game. My prediction is 30+ days away. Until then...war damn eagle.Comment -

#56One reason they both score a lot is because teams only have a few days to prepare for them. One month to prepare will help both defenses.
Oregon did play a bowl bound SEC team and hung about 5 TD's on them in the 2nd half. Auburn is a great team but dont over value them based on conference. The SEC was not that good this year. Florida and Georgia and Tenn were very average. Bama was a -4.5 fav over Auburn 3 weeks ago and should have covered. Auburn has had a great year but what was their record last year? Look at everything, dont go getting all convinced one team is superior without the benefit of some good research.Comment -

#63This isn't the SEC vs the Pac 10, it is Auburn vs Oregon. Think what you will about polls and the BCS (I hate both), but Stanford is ranked ahead of every other SEC team in every poll and almost every rating system out there, and Oregon spanked them by 3 TD's. Sure, overall Auburn has played a tougher schedule, no doubt. So what? Do they get spotted 6 points because of who they have played? Since they play in the SEC, do the Tigers get 5 downs instead of 4?
I've watched both teams enough this year to know that Oregon is every bit as good as Auburn. I hope like heck he entire world is on Auburn and drives that line up so I get a good deal on the Ducks.Comment -

#65The problem with overs this high is it only gets that high if the teams choose to play a shootout. Sure there are teams that scored a lot on Auburn this year but that was mostly by throwing the ball, I don't think Oregon is a throwing team. The game is geographically closer to Oregon but SEC fans are so passionate they'd turn out in droves if the game was played on Mars. I'm hoping for a game like the 2006 Rose Bowl between USC and Texas. Man that was an awesome game.Comment -
