I am not too sure about it. Arizona St. is great at home, but on the road not so great. Not saying its not going to happen, but definetly not money in the bank. Might be a nail bitter!

Arizona State qualifies for a bowl game with a win here. Arizona's fate is already sealed. They are going to the Alamo Bowl. Arizona State has covered 7 out of the last 9 games at Arizona.

az st lost at #11 wisc by 1 pt. they lost at oregon st by 3. they lost at usc by 1. they lost at home to #6 stanford by 4. the only road game they got trounced was Cal and that's the most hot-and-cold team. here they are playing in state and you are getting +6.

one thing i should mention if you are considing az st--they are starting a backup qb. he played well against ucla (4td) but I thought I should mention it.

Sorry Dave, but to say Arizona doesn't have the motivation is retarded. Do you understand what a Rivalry is? I am not saying that Arizona is going to win or cover. I live in Utah, where football is probably as big as in Arizona, and the Utah vs BYU rivalry is the biggest game every year no matter if the school sucks or not. So if you think Arizona or Arizona St. is going into this game without motivation, you don't know much about football. I think that this is going to be a hard fought game and an excellent game to watch, and I really think it will come down to the wire and there will be a score at the end that will change the outcome of the spread. I just wish I knew what way it was going so that I could bet lots of money.

Stoop's team will not be looking ahead to the Alamo Bowl with this game being played in Tucson. Backup QB on the road in a heated rivalry. These two schools almost brawled it out one year on the basketball floor when the U of A was under Lute Olson's control.

I know this back up for ASU looked GREAT against UCLA but not many QB's do not look great against them. Has to be in Arizona's favor that a back up QB is starting for ASU on the road in a rival game.

Yeah I like AZ st chances here considering how well they played this year against ranked teams but always be a little concerned with a backup QB.

With all that has been posted in here, I think that it comes down to this. When it's the last game of the season and at home, there is all of the emotion to go out and do well. There might even be some crying in the locker romm before the game starts. Arizona has about 18 seniors that the whole team wants to send out on a great note. IMO Arizona covers the 5.5.

Arizona St CAN NOT go to a bowl game, even if they win here. They would be 6-6, but they have 2 wins against FCS teams, and you can only count 1 towards bowl eligibility. They would need a waiver from the NCAA to go to a bowl.

Still, they will give their best effort here, as will Arizona because of the huge rivalry. Tough game to pick.

I am taking Arizona ALTHOUGH ASU plays very well against better teams this year, I think the backup QB should worry all ASU backers EVEN IF ASU covers the spread. He is playing on the road in a hostile environment an in a BIG rival game. I think ASU almost has to keep this game close with running the ball, short/intermediate passing game (wr, rb, te screens), if they get behind by 10+ and are forced to throw that could be trouble. I actually lean a little less scoring then most think with a close cover for Arizona. Either way, good luck!
