Ohio (-3.5) @ Kent St.

What am I missing? 80% on Ohio, but line moves all the way down to 3 before rising back to 3.5.

Ohio is playing for a spot in the MAC Championship (which isn't locked up but do they hold the tiebreaker). They also have ran the ball well and Kent St. sucks against the run. Ohio has won 7 in a row... and one of their 3 season losses came at ohio state. Kent St. has lost 3 in a row and are not bowl eligible. They came into the season with high expectations, but have under achieved.

The only intangible is that Kent St.'s head coach has announced his resignation and will leave after the team after the game on tomorrow.

Also, the road team is 5-0 in their last 5 meetings.

So.... why is this line so low? RLM? Is it just b/c the MAC always seems to screw the public?

wow just posted the same thing just a minute ago, i am going heavy on OHIO and I cannot believe that they are only favored by -3.5, the impact of their coach resigning will not impact the game enough when OHIO has so much to play for! I have watched OHIO play and KENT play several times this year, and OU is just an overall better team. They will cover and OHIO wins by at least 10 points in my opinion

Ohio is 2-5 ATS in its last 7 games when playing Kent State but i dont think this means much considering the skill level difference between the two teams. Ohio WILL win big.

Agreed something is fishy. I cannot find anything other than the head coach resigning and reading an article that the players feel responsible for essentially creating his forced resignation, and that they have banded together to send the coach off with a WIN. But it doesn't matter. Kent isn't even close to as good as OHIO, there will be 200 fans in the stadium so no home field advantage, and in the end OHIO is playing for a Conference championship and for a better BOWL game. OHIO by 10, Kent will put up a fight but OHIO covers easily.

Every time I bet on these crappy Mac games, the exact opposite happens of what looks to be so obvious. It's shady.

Everyone is right. Ohio Should handle Kent State with ease. I just don't trust these Mac games.

when you saw that 80% on Ohio and the line moved down, it was earlier when the volume of bets was very low. The line will continue to go back up.

A few weeks ago there was an extreme RLM on Kent vs Army and Kent was never in the game.

Someone still likes Kent , but I won't let that sway me from ohio.

I did some more research.... 180 of ohio's 340 average yards per game come on the ground. Kent st. only gives up 101 rushing yards per game. (My comment earlier was wrong. It was based on kents last game when they gave up 259 yards on the ground.)

Vegas thinks kents rush d wins the matchup and ohio can't pass to win by more than 3 (or win overall). Couple that with kents recent losses where they held statistical advantages, but lost big due to turnovers and penalties.

I hear you. No matter which side I play, if I lost the warning signs were there.

I'll probably check the line tomorrow... if it stays at- 3.5, I may play kent. If it flies back up over 4, i'll play ohio.

powesweep mentioned that kent had ball 3 times in redzone last week and got 0 pts... not sure if that means they were moving the ball on wmich (i think that is who they played). also chance coach announcing resignation will get guys ready to play.

either way... on ohio small. they control own destiny for playing in MAC championship.

As far as line moement goes, it all depends on where you look. This game opened at Ohio -1 at LeRoys in Vegas, and Ohio -6 at the Wynn. They have both settled at -3.5, but took opposite paths to get there.

MAC is badly rigged. Kent had over 400 yards against W.Michigan last week scoring only 3 pts. I wouldn't be shocked if flashes won straight up.
