When I saw this line, I thought that this has to be a result of the Temple loss to Ohio.

Miami's defense isn't the greatest, and Temple should have no problem scoring. However, they're not good enough to shut them out.

I think Temple is a much better team, despite a few key injuries, but what it comes down to is the Temple defense. They're simply better than what Miami will be able to put together on offense, and that's good enough for me.

Going with the following play for 5 units:

Against other teams, I'd say yes. They've been in a lot of under games this year because a lot of the teams in the MAC are terrible offensively. Temple has a decent defense, so they've prevented a ton of scoring.

However, Miami has a better offense than most of the MAC teams, so they'll get some points.

I'm not saying this is a shootout by any means. I'm saying that these two are good enough to combine for 10 points a quarter for sure. I do like the over 44 regardless.

I think this game will be a lot closer than many people think (given the line movement). "Under Haywood, the RedHawks are 5-1 straight up and against the spread in games against opponents off a loss of more than seven points." Miami (OH) +7 for me!

Miami's best LB has been out since the fourth game (I believe.)

Since then, they've not been the greatest on defense.

I'm calling for a Temple win and though I like the over, I'll take the tease and root for a TD and FG per quarter.

These are not good teams folks. They went 4-1, but struggled against all 4 of the teams they beat. Combined record of the four teams they beat: 8-36. They struggled mightily in their last game against 0-11 Akron.

Bowling Green (28-27) WIN
Akron (30-0) WIN

See the difference? Temple had two shutouts, and beat the same four opponents by a combined score of 128-37. Miami's four wins...a combined score of 91-65.

Now, I personally think that Miami is outclassed here, and that the line is a result of the Temple loss to Ohio, and Miami's record. Either way, Temple is definitely the better team.

If I wasn't teasing the game, I would take Temple -6.5.

I think teasing the total down is still okay. 40+ is very likely.

The public is all over Temple, and I don't know if I would take them at +8.

However, teasing them down to -2 is still worth it to me, because either they cover or lose SU.

I'm picking them to win, and would take my chances with them having to win by 3 or more.

Again, this is just my opinion.

What in the hell has happened to Temple? They look like total shit offensively. Hard to believe that they're won 8 games when I watch them now.
