Boyz,
Went a nice 4-2 last week on these college totals plays. Finally turning a profit on the year, bringing the season tally to 40-36. Combine that with my record of 52-33 on my sides plays....playing with the house's money. Add these plays to the mix....
INDIANA/PENN STATE - UNDER 56-
These have gotta be tough times for ticket scalpers in Bloomington. Last week's 83-20 dirty-sanchezing against Wisconsin was nothing short of humiliating. The Badgers never punted once. If there's any pride to be found on the Hoosier's defense we'll see a somewhat inspired performance this weekend. By they way, Hoosier QB Chappell is badly dinged with a hip pointer. The Nittany Lion defense should also be inspired this week. They led 14-3 at the half last week against Ohio State, then gave up 35 unanswered points in the 2nd half! I'm betting on the defenses to show up.....at least a little. UNDER.
MICHIGAN/WISCONSIN - OVER 67
The Badgers are hitting on all cylinders. That ain't good news for the Wolverines. The only chance Michigan has to win this game is go OUTSCORE 'em. The Wolverines defense stinks, as evidenced by their 32 ppg average. I think this one's gonna be a helluva game.....but also a helluva high-scoring game. OVER.
IOWA STATE/MISSOURI - UNDER 52
The Cyclones need a big effort here to increase their bowl chances. Mr. Weatherman is calling for a cold and rainy day. Iowa State had better get 'er done with defense, being that they're down to their back-up QB. This one is going to be a sloppy chess match. UNDER.
BALL STATE/NORTHERN ILLINOIS - OVER 52-
The Huskies of Northern Illinois are averaging a whopping 5.9 ypc on the ground. That pretty much explains why they're 8-2 straight up and 7-3 ATS. They're hard to stop. I see Northern Illinois putting up about 40 points here. Whatever Ball State adds is gravy. OVER.
OREGON STATE/USC - UNDER 58
It's in Oregon, so you shouldn't be surprised they're calling for rain in this one. That always helps one look to the under. The Beavers were held to only 14 points last week by Washington State! And 14 points the game before by UCLA! What happened to their offense? USC meanwhile played their best defensive game of the year last week in Tucson. Gimme the under.
TEXAS/FLORIDA ATLANTIC - OVER 42- (****DOUBLE PLAY****)
I can barely remember a situation where a team owed its home crowd a bigger performance than Texas does in this one. The Longhorns have been pitiful at home. It's a great time for the 4-5 Owls to be coming to town. The Horns will score more than 42 on their own.
As always, best of luck.
