    Bowling Green +3

Neither of these two teams are very good, which makes me wonder why is Miami of Ohio a road chalk? Statistically these two are extremely close. Bowling Green is avg 23.44 ppg vs teams that allow 27.60 ppg (-4.60) and Miami is struggling even more at 19.44 ppg vs teams that allow 27.13 ppg (-7.69). Defensively Miami has a slight edge allowing 27.22 ppg vs teams that avg 22.99 (+4.23) and Bowling Green is allowing 33.89 ppg to teams that avg 27.36 ppg (+6.52). This is the Redhawks 4 th away game in their last 5. They are 3-14 SU on the road the past three years and tonight is just the 2nd time they are road chalk in that time period. Bowling Green is just 2-7 this year but they have played a more difficult schedule than Miami. They’ve lost three games by 3 points or less including a 1 point loss @ Temple where they went for two on the last play of the game. They have been extremely competitive in two of three home games and destroyed Marshall 44-28. Both of these teams were 13-point underdogs at Central Michigan and both came away with the outright upset. However Bowling Green limited the Chippewas to 14 points and 231 total yards. Miami of Ohio allowed CMU 20 points and 403 total yards and that was despite four Chippewas turnovers. I'll take the points with the home underdog Bowling Green.
