I don't get it. People from a rival school spread a story to create the appearance of impropriety without evidence, and all of a sudden Cam Newton's dirty. Sure the NCAA has been investigating since last year but the NCAA would take 18 months to investigate whether water is wet. After the way they treated Renardo Sidney, Enes Kanter, and Josh Selby you cannot assume anything by the length of the NCAA investigation. At least the allegations surrounding Reggie Bush and OJ Mayo had evidence.
And yes I know this is the SEC and schools have a reputation for tolerating stuff like this (just look at how Tennessee is treating Bruce Pearl), but schools also have a reputation for making stuff up about each other.
