    Cam Newton "Scandal"
Just curious, as i dont know the answer, but could this breaking news about Cam Newton make him ineligible at any point this year? I doubt it, as these things usually take time to develop, but im just curious. This could have some implications on futures bets if the NCAA finds anything and reacts quicker than usual.

From memory, the NCAA handled Dez Bryant's case very promptly last year.

If Newton is guilty of accepting payment and Auburn participates in the BCS championship game but doesn't get sanctioned until some time after the season, it would be a real shame that at least one deserving school would get screwed out of a championship opportunity.

Unfortunately the trail back to Auburn will take time. I am pretty confident that illegal things took place but the fact of the matter is in the South it happens quite often and these schools, boosters, and the middle men are pretty good at covering their tracks. Im hoping Thanksgiving day the sh*t hits the fan.
