Why is Texas -4 @ KSU??
Someone help me out here. I thought this line would be KSU -3. Texas opened at -3 @ Kansas St and has moved to -4 with 82% consensus on the Horns. This is a Texas team that has lost 4 out of their last 5. Kansas State usually plays well at home, despite their poor performance last week against OSU. They have also beat Texas last 2 times theyve played. What am I missing? Does the entire KSU team have the flu or something? I thought this line would be KSU -3.

Ksu is a one dimensional team. All they can do with success is run. Texas has a stellar run defense.

As bad as Texas has been there is still a large talent gap between these 2 teams. KSU has really not played with one decent team all year (short a bad UCLA showing at the time). The Baylor and OSU losses were not near as close as the final score and the absolutely got shelled by NU. Texas is getting into desperation mode and need a win. I expect them to be motivated as they were vs. Nebraska. With that said, this line is not surprising and I would be on Texas if playing this game. KSU does not have the horses.

I have always thought the Texas Run D was better in the stat book than on the field. Although this should be cleared up by looking at opponent averages, there is just something about the typical Big12 running back that overrates the Texas run defense. I remember this same argument was made in the NC game last year and both bama running backs averaged over 5.0 yds/carry while playing with a QB with broken ribs. I think the K State running back is a true talent and has a big day on Saturday.
