Get this before the line moves. Huskies give up 35 PPG. They lost 41-0 to Stanford last Saturday. There's no way they can keep up with the Ducks. The Ducks have an underrated defense. Also, Jake Locker sucks.

I was telling averyone to bet their house, car, kids college fund, etc on Stanford last week and nobody would listen to me. UW is terrible and Locker is the most over-rated player in college football history!! UW is 2-6 ATS this year. This spread should have opened at 40. Bet Oregon now before the line moves 10 points.

I love how everyone always loves to bet the big bad impressive favorite without really looking into things all the way...
Lets start with the things we do know...
Washington has been all over the map this season...
The loss to BYU was when BYU was healthy and it was in Provo...BYU is a shell of that team that won that day... I am not going to dock the Huskies for that one..
The win against Syracuse was fairly dominant and as it turns out Syracuse may be the 2nd best team in the Big East
The loss to Nebraska was more because nobody was truly aware at how explosive Taylor Martinez was when he hit a crease... Washington could not move the ball through the air just like most teams have struggled to do against Nebraska's pass defense...
The win over USC after a bye week... USC was off and Locker was very good... why was he good? Probably because they actually ran the ball for enough yards to keep USC honest... Everyone wants to crap on Locker but in a pro set offense you have to have a running game.. They averaged 6.6 yards per carry that night... which in turn led to Locker going over 300 yds passing and over 100 yards rushing on QB draws and scrambles.
The loss to ASU had a lot to with again a diminished running game and coming up short on downs 4 times in the ball game...3 times in ASU territory... Locker was average because everyone around him was average...
Then another shocking win over Oregon St... again...running the football better and the defense actually forcing turnovers in key spots and playing lights out stop em dead defense in the 4th Q
On to the blow out losses against AZ and Stanford... can we spot a trend? RUSHING THE BALL... 3 yards per carry against AZ and an abysmal 0.8 yds per carry against Stanford...
It is all very simple... If Washington can make yardage on first down then this is a different team... before we all anoint Oregon's scary offensive team as National Champs and spread covering kings... lets look at their rush defense and whether it is legit or not... they are currently giving up 3.3 yp carry and the teams they have played are not generally running teams... Stanford, UCLA and USC are in the top 25 and the others are well below the top 50 with New Mexico, Tenn, Wash St and AZ St all in the bottom 30...
Stanford was coming off a 3 week bye for all intents and purposes after the big win over USC.. (they clearly took the week before off against Wazzou) They were ready for Washington and knew the formula for stopping Sarks offense...
Oregon on the other hand is due for a stinker... now granted a stinker means only putting up 40+ pts like they did against AZ St but being so confident to lay 4 TDs against a guy who has owned you...
UPDATE... don't you love when you start writing something and news comes out that the starting QB will not start... Locker Out...
