    0-21 Statistic for Saturday
    Army is 0-21 ATS (-13.4 ppg)
    since December 1995 off a
    one week bye, if they lost by
    less than 32 or won by less
    than 20 last game .
    SDQL Text
    team= ‘ARMY’ and date>=19951201 and
    20>rest>8 and 20>p:margin>=-31
    Trend Analysis
    SBB has discovered a team trend which
    reads “Army is 0-21 ATS (-13.4 ppg) since De-
    cember 1995 off a one week bye, if they lost by
    less than 32 or won by less than 20 last game.”
    This system is active this week with Army
    facing Virginia Military Institute at home. Last
    season, The Black Knights narrowly defeated
    VMI, 22-17, at home.
    Army was off last week after narrowly falling
    to Rutgers on October 16, 23-20, in overtime.
    This is the only time this trend will be active
    this season after falling once last season. Army
    has performance brutally straight up the last
    several seasons, as they’ve lost straight up by
    at least 19 points in each of the last seven ac-
    tive instances. In the last five spots, they have
    scored a combined 16 points.
    There is not line in this game yet but later
    in the week there should be a line out which
    heavily favors Army. Consider grabbing the
    points with VMI here.

      Wouldn't it be easier to just say that Army is bad after the bye?

          I'm not sure that's entirely fair. Some folks use trends in their capping. I just thought it was funny that the Army trend only applied to games following the bye when they lost by less than 32 and won by less than 20 before the bye. A nice 52 point window going through the zero. So, essentially every game but maybe 4. Pretty silly filter.
