Michigan State if you give me Points I' ll take me
    Im taking the points

For a team that doesnt seem to know how to lose -
7 points is Just a lot here

Im not picking an upset , Iowa is at home and one thing Michigan certainly cant do is win in Iowa .

-after seeing Michigan State shut down Northwestern Last week in the second half to somce back from a 17-0 deficit

not a game I spent a lot of time capping -

This is a heart bet -so if you have any insight please talk me off or away from this bet .

the reason i am staying away from this bet is because both teams come off of very emotional games last week (iowa-heartbreaking loss) (mich.st-come from behind win) and its difficult to tell which way the emotional aspect of the game may flow. this aspect is always a big part of college football just because of youth. my 2 cents

I'm staying away because I think the line is a trap. The books want us to grab the ranked team and the points.

Iowa is the better team and they are at home. Michigan State was down 17-0 in the first half against NW and needed to rally in the 4th quarter to win. A very late and lucky td gave them the cover as well. The "lucky" teams can only be lucky for so long.... just ask LSU. Iowa wins this game..... and if you know they are going to win then you should be willing to give up a td. I say Iowa 34 Michigan State 17

2 straight weeks Mich State has played a horrible first half and saved themselves in the 2nd half.

Remember, the Illinois game was 6-3 at half, and for all intents and purposes the Illini were DOMINATING. NW was the better team at halftime.

Now, instead of the talent of an Ill/NW, and the home crowd of Ryan field, the Spartans now have to goto one of the tougher Big 10 stadiums with a very very good team.

Remember before the leg injury vs NW, the Hawkeyes were last year's MSU. A team led by a generally unknown QB who was making tons of late 4th quarter comebacks. They were becoming a sleeper NC title pick. QB got hurt and they lost twice, but when Stanzi came back they won the Orange Bowl.

They are a very good team with a stout defense. They are led by the best QB MSU will face all season (The only other one could be Robinson, but hes just a runner. Following him would be Kafka and Crist. I bet most people couldnt figure out who they start for).. At 5-2, with a 1pt loss to Wisconsin, Iowa is desperate for a win if they want their season to be any sort of success and a January bowl.

Wanna hear something REALLY crazy? The week before Iowas first loss, they were less than a TD away from covering the spread vs Indiana. A meaningless 27 yard TD run with 1:12 left in the game caused them to cover the points spread. Last week, Michigan State scored a meaningless 25 yard TD run with 1:07 left in the game to cover the spread.

Still too many points Iowa has to cover here.

Everyone thinks Iowa will win. Question is - by how much?

I dont think scoring a touchdown with 1:07 left and only up by 1 point is meaningless.
