    LSU Tigers: Overrated Or Well-Coached?
Would you say the LSU Tigers are overrated or well-coached?

Taking the Tigers out of the equation for a second, I was having a debate today with someone as to whether overrated/well-coached are correlated and therefore, it's merely a matter of perception.

For example, I think the LSU Tigers were, are and will be the most overrated team in the nation. Who the hell are they kidding with Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee as their quarterbacks? This is a team that used to have elite talent in the backfield, offensive line, wide receiver, quarterback, defensive line, linebackers and secondary.

Where is their elite talent now?

Off the top of my head, here are some big-time LSU first-round picks in the NFL: JaMarcus Russell, Joseph Addai, Michael Clayton (maybe going back a bit too far), Craig Davis, Glenn Dorsey, Tyson Jackson, LaRon Landry and the list goes on.

Who do they have now? Patrick Peterson is outstanding, Drake Nevis will have a shot at the first round and nothing else.

So does Les Miles deserve credit for coaching up a team that now has less talent or are they overrated because they've used smoke and mirrors to get this far?

    You look at their wins:
-Hung on against a suspension-ravaged UNC team
    -Crushed Vandy
    -Handled Miss State
-Hung on against West Virginia at home
-Should have lost at home to Tennessee
-Should have lost in the Swamp to Florida
    -Struggled against McNeese State
-Played with Auburn, but were never really in control

As you can tell, a lot of the way that I present those games, I'm implying that this team is more overrated than Megan Fox's acting. But can you really make the case that they are not overrated, and that Miles actually deserves credit for coaching them up?

What do you say about teams like LSU? Or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Or the Kansas City Chiefs?

It may seem like a general topic, but we all know that public perception affects gambling and affects the betting line.

Deep thoughts by me...share an opinion if you got one.
