Football is about matchups. Stop looking at prior games to determine who will cover what spread.

UCLA probably had turnovers that gave Cal short fields. You can't loo at prior scores to determine anything. That's so much of a square way to look at things.

You also have to put into account that this is a national telievision game and UCLA will want to show up. You also have to take into account that they will be extra hype for the #2 team in the nation.

Well don't you think Oregon will show up tonight and take advantage of the national stage. The "average" Joe thinks UCLA isn't that bad because they beat Texas. Don't over think this- there isn't any credible evidence that UCLA can keep this close.

Each game is independent of others. UCLA also beat Texas.

Texas beat Nebraska who beat Washington who beat Oregon State who beat Arizona who beat Iowa. It doesn't really matter.
