    Huge play!!
I was 7-3 last week in college football. Here is what I like this week.....

****Nebraska -6***** This is my huge play this week. Yes, I am a fan. While I thought they would beat Texas last week I didnt wager on the game. I know when the Huskers are in a good spot and when they are not. I loved them against Kansas State and I love them again this week. Nebraska has been playing well on the road. They have also played really well after a disappointing performance. Nebraska was beating Idaho 31-3 at the half and then won 38-17. Bo was upset at the second half execution and the following week they thumped Washington at Washington. Nebraska also came out flat against South Dakota State. They followed that game with a thumping of Kansas State at K State. Last week they never got their offense going against Texas. Receivers dropped pass after pass. I counted 3 td passes on 3 separate drives that were DROPPED! UGH! Now the Huskers are on the road again...... where they play their best ball for some reason.

Oklahoma State leads the Big 12 in passing. HOWEVER, they have not played ANYONE with a pass defense in the top 100! Nebraska is the #1 pass defense in the nation. Yes, we lost last week... but we held Texas to 4 of 16 passing. Oklahoma State has thrown 2 ints in 4 different games this year. AGAINST TERRIBLE PASS Ds. OK ST had trouble with the pass rush of Troy. Also, I heard today from a sports writer in Oklahoma that OK ST has 7 freshman on their kickoff team. Ok State is ranked 119th in the nation on kickoff coverage and has allowed 2 returns for TDs. AGAINST NON RANKED TEAMS. Ok State has allowed 17, 28, 38, 35, 28, 17 points this year...... all against unranked teams. IF Nebraska would have beaten Texas then MAYBE I could see a letdown game..... looking ahead to Mizz.... or whatever. But coming off that loss to Texas this team will be focused and they need this win.
    NEBRASKA 38 OKLAHOMA STATE 17

Not going to write up every game but here are my others.....

    Miss State -19.5
    Auburn -6
    Hawaii -3
    Georgia -4
    Idaho -23.5
    Oklahoma -3

I think Nebraska can rebound in a big way here. I'm not sure they'll hold OSU to 17 though...

I hate this kind of analysis. The fact that OSU's opponents had to play OSU is one reason why their opponents' pass defense stats look bad.

I understand your point. I am a fan. I didnt make this pick looking at box scores and reading the internet. I made this pick based on my knowledge of a team. I have watched every snap of the Huskers this season. I have also watched Oklahoma State play twice. While I cant give you real insight on the Tulane Utep game I can give you insight on this game. I know Nebraska and I know the Big 12. While I was 7-3 last week I was 4-0 in the Big 12 with OK St, OU, Baylor and Missouri. If you read my write up I give you facts..... 7 freshman on kickoff coverage, 119th in the nation on kickoff coverage, they havent played anyone in the top 100 in pass D, NU is #1 in the nation in pass d. I wont tell you this game is a lock because there is really no LOCKS in football. But the weather is supposed to be nice this weekend and I believe the better team will win. I believe NU Is a top 10 team that unfortunately cant ever find a way to beat Texas and caught them after a bye week.... coming off 2 straight losses with their back in the corner. Follow me.... fade me.... I dont really care. I'm just sharing my knowledge. Good luck!

Agreed. Likewise, What great passing offenses has Nebraska faced?

Nebraska hasn't beaten anyone this year.

Nebraska has played 2 QBs that are expected to be drafted. Heck, Locker was expected to be the number one draft pick.

It's not like Oklahoma State has beaten anyone this year either. The difference is Nebraska has a defense.

Trust me here guys. ND is on the right track. 3 straight wins and this team is starting to believe in Kelly. This is their showcase game in Yankee Stadium. ND will be fired up and should win by 14.

I agree with this assessment. I don't think Neb can hold OSU to 17. A good RB and a solid QB give them a chance to put up 27-30 in a similar fashion to Texas. OSU's problem is that their D is no better than KState's, and Neb will drop at 38+ on them. The Cowboys don't have the size or athletes on D to mimic what Muschamp's bunch did up in Lincoln. Like the play on the Cornhuskers.

crap. My mistake. I was thinking this was the game in NY but I think that's actually the Army game. Oooops.

This is good info to know......

Most coaches will tell you they don't start thinking about opponents until the previous game is officially history.
But when it comes to Navy, and that crazy triple option, Brian Kelly admits he looked ahead more than just a bit.
"This will be our fifth week, now, running Navy's offense with our scout team," Kelly said Sunday, as his team started preparation for its meeting with Navy at the New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey. "You can't take just two days to practice against this offense. We feel like we've been prepared for this week for the past month."

I understand that. If I change my name to BETZTHATWIN then people would not look at my pick as a fan cheering for his team. I hope my track record, especially in the BIG 12 will give me some credit. I think I shared some valuable info that the every day person might not realize. Good luck on whatever you all wager on!

So here are my final picks of the day..... I expect to go 6-3 or better again this week.

                                      Nebraska -6
                                      Miss State -19.5

Ya it's unusual for me to take all favorites. When capping the games this week my underdog picks just didnt make the final cut.

I agree that Nebraska is the better team, but not touching it. Neb may have the #1 pass defense but this is their first real test. The NU secondary locking down UT doesn't count for much since the UT offense is horrible. I'm a UT fan and have suffered through watching Gilbert's early struggles, Greg Davis' piss poor play calling, and watching the worst O-line in the country think they are in a tickle fight every week. I actually predicted a pick 6 by the Husker's D, but your secondary let me down.

I would also point out UT was the first team Neb played with an equal level of athletes. Although Washington has Locker, the rest of the team is brutal.

The secondary will be a fun matchup to watch this week.

Rough weekend.... losing Idaho by .5 sucked.....

Nebraska came through for a big win. Hope some of you cashed on that. I told you OK ST's kickoff coverage sucked = td for Huskers. They were up by 17 with a min left..... late td made it look closer than it was. A LOT more high scoring than I ever though tho.
