SDSU -23, lock it up, the Lobos suck
I live down the street from these weaklings. I know how bad they are.

The DC for SDSU was the former Head Coach of UNM before deciding to resign, Rocky Long. Rocky Long will be more than happy to stick it to the Lobos for treating him so poorly while he gave 10 hard-earned, hard working years. He put his hard work into the program and he got jack-shit from the community.

Living in this town, we will be cheering for SDSU to kill our Lobos. Ther will be no home field. Heck, high school football is selling more tickets than the Lobos.

Here's the gift and you're welcome.

You can give me 1 point, late Saturday night, after you cash your tickets. Again, you are4 welcome.

Darrell... I wrote the following 2 paragraphs in another thread. How accurate do you feel it is? Not just the negative parts about New Mexico but also about the potential for SD State covering such a high number as a double-digit road fave.

Another game I'm looking at is San Diego State @ New Mexico. Yes, a lot of people are jumping on the Aztecs' bandwagon. And, yes, they could be in letdown mode after beating Air Force. And, yes, New Mexico has had a bye week. And, yes, 23.5 is a lot of points for a team like SD State to give. But here you have a team that was always considered a "bet against" cream puff. Now they're suddenly being called "good". That's got to really energize them. And winning has got to feel great for them. The other thing I really like is the "coaching crossover" factor. One of the casino book managers mentioned this the other week in Chad Millman's ESPN column on wiseguy betting. How the sharps give a lot of credence to a team whose head coach, OC or DC used to be on the staff of the team they're now facing. You saw this when Sarkissian led Washington to a win a couple weeks ago and last year against USC. We saw it last week when former Gator OC Dan Mullen came into the swamp and beat Florida straight up.

Now you've got Rocky Long who was the former head coach of New Mexico as DC for SD State. He beat SD State 8 times in a row when he was head coach at NM. Then last year SD State beat NM with Rocky Long as SD State DC. So I like that factor a lot. Also like the fact that Missouri has the #2 defense in the country, giving up only 10 points a game on average. Little 'ol SD State came into mighty Big 12 Columbia and put 23 points on still-undefeated Mizzou, the most of any team Mizzou has faced so far. SD was a 14 point dog in that game and lost by just 3. SD State's offense is #16 in the country. NM's defense is #109. SD State's defense is #45. NM's offense is #117. So I don't know if a bye week will help NM all that much.

The other thing I wanted to check on... So you don't think Rocky Long would go easy on his former team, especially since it's only been two years and he probably knows and recruited some of the NM players. Even though as DC it's not really up to him to either let up or press hard on an opponent.

dume walker, that's fantastic capping. Good job getting that research.

In Albuquerque, we take college basketball more seriously than football. With that said, we hate this bastard football team.

As a guy who watches all these Lobo games, I'll tell you, they're not in shape to play division 1 football. These kids will get manhandled by real division 1 athletes in San Diego State. In an odd way, I feel bad for the Lobos because every week, a lot of these kids get hurt because they shouldn't be out there. They are very unconditioned for the game at a division 1 level. It's a little sad.

However, as a gambler, I'll take advantage of how horrible my home team is.

Houlihans has it right, its a gift. Take it and get crazy with it.

gl on your wagers this week.

I agree with you that the lobos are horrible but San Diego st has not been somewhat impressive on the road. They put up a good fight against Missouri but Missouri was in middle of playing a FCS team and Miami(OH).
Ask yourself this. How much better is NMST than New mexico? The game against NMST was only with in one possession of NMST with 11 minutes in the 4th. San Diego st did score two touchs to finish off the quarter and cover but it was close till the big plays of san diego broke it open. The final 41-21. I was on San Diego st and they covered. But I think 23 is a little to many for this San diego st squad. Just my thoughts. I don't think that this game is that "easy".

Just a friendly reminder, SDSU is the play.
              Weather is great out here.
Slight breeze but very cool. Great football weather.

I put a minny on the halftime score of -13 because that should rake as well.
              My gift to you chasers.

SDSU won't cover this game. New Mexico will hang in tough.

Lobos are weak. Their is nothing tough about them. They are boys playing against men.

I wonder if I'm gonna get blacked out on the Mountain West Network.
The bar I work at right outside the stadium has all the TV's on the UFC pay-per-view. Pretty hilarious.
4 years ago, we'd have a line out the door all night on Lobo home games. Tonight, we have to pay for UFC to draw2 people into the doors. Just got a txt from a co-worker, they say it's pretty lame. Kind of funny if you ask me.

                        Awesome, its not blacked out.
I thought I was gonna have to walk down the street and hop the fence to watch this game.

SDSU never seems to go for the kill shot. That's the difference. They need to learn how to put a team away early and not let them hang around.
