Boyz,
Three winning weeks in a row with my college football totals. Add these steak Tips to the kabob.....
NAVY/NOTRE DAME - OVER 51
Two disparate offenses. Navy should be able to move the ball on the ground. QB Dobbs is finally fully healthy and will relish the spotlight of this marquee matchup. The Fighting Irish meanwhile will have little difficulty moving the ball through the air. I see each team moving the chains with relative ease. Points aplenty.
VIRGINIA TECH/DUKE - OVER 61
The Hokies are in fifth gear and I don't see any downshifting in sight. In the past 3 games they've scored 41, 45, and 52 points. That ain't good news for visiting Duke, who's giving up an average of 38 ppg. Tech will shred this D. What the Blue Devils can do well is move the ball through the air, averaging 277 ypg. Their only chance in this one will be to air it out. Either they'll score a few or turn it over a lot. Either way, the clock stops.
BOSTON COLLEGE/MARYLAND - OVER 41
It wasn't quite a W for the Eagles last week against Florida State.....but it was a bit of a moral victory to keep the game close. Now BC returns home after a tough 2-game roadtrip. Look for an inspired performance. Maryland has been averaging 28 ppg so the Eagles will need to put up some points. Finally. Very low number here. Go over.
BYU/WYOMING - OVER 44
Seven straight unders for the Cougars this year. Four straight for the Cowboys. Something's gotta give. BYU owes their home crowd an offensive performance. They should get it done against a Wyoming defense allowing 31 ppg. Cowboys QB Carta-Samuels is pretty good....for someone that no one knows.
MISSISSIPPI STATE/UAB - UNDER 51-
Mississippi State is in a big-time letdown spot. Last week they embarrassed the Gators of Florida, holding them to only 7 points in Gainesville. In addition to that impressive defensive performance, the Bulldogs have also held Auburn to 17, Georgia to 12. UAB will be lucky to score more than a TD. The Bulldogs will play it conservatively, pounding the ball, chewing up the clock. Under.
VIRGINIA/EASTERN MICHIGAN - UNDER 56
Even with last week's victory over Ball State, E Mich has to considered one of the worst teams in college football. According to my numbers, they own the worst defense in the country. Why then go under? Because I don't think the Cavaliers have the horses to take advantage of the opportunity. I see this one at about 34-14.
KENTUCKY/GEORGIA - OVER 58
Tough stretch of games for the Wildcats, hosting Auburn in a heartbreaker, South Carolina in a thriller, and now having a re-invigorated Georgia team coming to town. I don't think the Cats have the pedigree to get up for this one. Georgia is in desperation mode, and definitely need a win here. The Dawgs started the season a bit sluggish but since WR A.J. Green has returned, they have been lighting it up. Look for Georgia to score close to 40. Kentucky should be able to counter-punch enough to send this one over.
As always, best of luck.
