OSU getting 5.5 at home on homecoming, putting my bias aside, anyone else thinks OSU looks good?

Nope! Bo does a pretty good job of bouncing back after a loss. GBR!

I think OSU gets smoked in this game. They will be feeling real good about themselves after going out to Lubbock and whuppin Tech for the first time in Lubbock since the 1940's. Nebraska will be in an ornery mood after that lickin they took from Texas on their home turf. The OSU defense won't be able to stop the Huskers. The Huskers on the other hand can shut down the OSU offense.

Huskers know if they lose this one, they are out of the Big 12 north title and no shot at a BCS game. With Missouri on tap in Nebraska the following week, Huskers must have this game. Huskers Roll!

Another homer here..... but while I thought Nebraska would beat Texas last week.... I didnt put money on the game. I had a feeling that the week off for Texas and their speed might keep the game close so I wasnt going to give up 10 pts.

Nebraska has played really well on the road this year. They have also played really well after a disappointing performance. They were up 31-3 at halftime vs Idaho and then were outscored 14-7 in the second half. Bo was pissed at the execution and the following week they beat Washington 56-21. They struggled against South Dakota State with a 17-3 victory and then crushed Kansas State, again on the road, 48-13.

All the hype of Martinez winning the Heisman and Nebraska winning a national championship is all out the window now. Now they refocus on winning the Big 12 North and getting a shot at OU in the Big 12 championship game.

Bo will have this team focused and Martinez will once again run wild on a bad defense. Nebraska has the best secondary in the country and will limit Oklahoma State's offense. Texas QB Gilbert was 4 for 16 passing against the Huskers.

Oklahoma State is giving up a ton of points this year.... 17, 28, 38, 35, 28, and 17.... all against unranked teams.

Agreed. The points LOOK good but they are not. Home field could keep it close for a while though.

Are OK St recievers still out ? their D is not great and Nebraska could easily put up 40+ .. i dont pay attention to that homecoming stuff .. could just be extra on campus distractions sometimes imo

Am I the only one that sees Nebraska being demoralized after having national title hopes dashed? I would no go anywhere near Huskers this week, this could be Virginia Tech vs. James Madison Part II, but with a better opponent.

It is not so much that Nebraska is superior. It has more to do with Oklahoma State being overrated IMO.
Several Okie St. wins have been unimpressive to me. Their defense is horrible and Pelini has an excellent track record of having his team more than ready after a loss.

Nebraska was the team that was overrated. A young Texas team kick their ass on Nebraska's field. Ok.St. will also put 9 in the box and stop the run.

I see everybody likes Nebraska in this one but I think as long as OSU don't turn the ball over a bunch of times they cover the spread in this game. The over is probably the best not sure what it is but there will be alot of points scored in this one, I have OSU in a teaser already +11 1/2 will be on the over as well before the game. As always good luck to all.

Good point. After watching both of these teams play all year, I like what I see from Nebraska a lot more. Oklahoma State does have a dynamic offense, but battling it out with Troy at home? I also like the fact that the Huskers are road tested as well.

You are missing my point, I don;t think Nebraska shows up to play this week. It is very common for a team with national title hopes that loses its first game to tank the next game or two until they get they heads straight again.

Well, "tank" may not be the right word, it is not as if they lose on purpose, bur rather they are very disheartened.

Nebraska will win this game by 4 TD's. They will unleash Martinez and he will make the Oklahoma St defense look like Normandy beach on V-Day.

Okay, understood. You may have a point there, but I really feel like Nebraska still has its sights on a Big-12 Championship. This is going to be a nationally televised game as well. I expect the Huskers to rebound in a big way to get over that heartbreaking loss to Texas.

The reason I said homecoming is that homecoming is a big deal at OSU and means more fans at the game. I am laying off of this game but I really think it will be a great one.

LT - no one had Nebraska in the title hunt to start the year except a few NU faithful. Their hopes weren't dashed. They got to number 5 because too many ahead of them in the polls couldn't hang.

Second, there has never been a secret to stopping Nebraska. The option offense is not about surprising or tricking you, it's about having better men on your men. Texas stopped them because they are one of the few teams that can out-athlete Nebraska. They could match them speed for speed, power for power. Very few others teams can say that.

Second, there has never been a secret to stopping Nebraska. The option offense is not about surprising or tricking you, it's about having better men on your men. Texas stopped them because they are one of the few teams that can out-athlete Nebraska. They could match them speed for speed, power for power. Very few others teams can say that.
There where many teams in the past who won a championship with just one loss. I don't think they folded after they lost the game in the middle of the season. LT's logic is completely flawed. Off course if Oklahoma St wins he will be a genius.
