    BCS #1 Oklahoma?
I just saw the Sooners are #1 in the BCS pool. Sorry But I can think of at least five teams I would bet against them, Three of which would be favored. Heck I think Boise St could beat Oklahoma. Oregon, Bama, South Carolina all get my $ in a match up.
    The BCS is a joke!

okla is #1 because oregon st lost to wash, and if not boise will be #1 and oklahoma 2 and oregon 3, if vt runs the table and oregon st beat oregon in the civil war, boise will be playing in the national champ

That is totally ridiculous. Oklahoma is #1 because of their SOS. They defeated Florida State, Air Force, and Texas. Boise has played no one of that caliber. Oregon State's loss to Washington made little difference. Boise ended up 7th in the computer polls, not even close. The fact is that they will finish behind ANY undefeated BCS Conference team, and will probably get jumped by either TCU or Utah if either one of them run the table.

This was surprising to say the least. This is the same OU team that beat San Jose by 7 and BSU just beat 48-0 and shut it down completely in the 2nd half. Who else besides Texas have they beaten? The BCS is so broken it's embarrassing.

OU beat San Jose by 7? You talking about this season? And they did beat fl st, air force, cinnci (they're better than their record suggests), and tx; three of those teams were rated, two of which still are

I'm all over Oklahoma this saturday, and I hope the media keeps questioning their status... I see this as another Florida St. game. Missouri hasn't played anyone and they struggled against Illinois and San Diego St.

That's funny. OU doesn't even play San Jose State this year. And do you really want to compare Boise's schedule to OU's? No one one Boise's schedule is currently ranked and OU already has two wins over teams in the BCS top 20. At least have an idea of what you are talking about.

OU has beaten Florida State, Texas, Cincy, and Air Force. That's why they are ranked so high. That is two wins against BCS top 20 teams where as Oregon only has one win against a team with a winning record (Stanford).

OU's schedule is a lot tougher than Boise or TCU. I like how people count Air Force as a quality win for TCU but not for OU. As for Oregon, they have played Washington State, Portland State, and New Mexico. They have run the score up against pitiful teams and gained style points for it.

OU has trailed for 6 minutes all season.

In the games that people "think" OU almost lost, OU was up 21-0 against Utah State, 17 points in the forth quarter against Air Force, and 15 points in the forth quarter against Cincy. If anything OU has shut it off and allowed teams to get some late scores to make the score look a lot closer.

It's also hard to keep the pedal down when you play Florida State the next week and are up 21 against Utah State. Likewise, the same can be said when you are up 15 in the forth quarter against Cincy and you play Texas the next weekend.

I swear some people just look at box scores.

I just threw a few points at ya BigDofBA. Nice write up! I am a sooner fan and I love the -3 line OU is getting. The fact that OU isn't an overwhelming favorite is just what will keep them focused and winning. Most of the players aren't claiming the #1 status and know they have work to do.
For a Bob Stoops team that has had a 10+ point lead in 126 out of 151 of their last games, this is an easy bet to make. Simply look at the caliber of teams Mizzou has faced and that tells the story. This happens to them every year and this one won't be different. Btw, lets not forget MU was a 15 point favorite at home against San Diego St and needed a 68 yd. TD in the last minute to win, also they were down 10 points to Illinois and had to make a late second half run to win. They aren't as tough as you might think at home. OU is play whether you're a fan or not!
