Oregon St vs Washington U Write Up
The huskies were really one of the most overated teams coming into the year. Having the nice turn around last year being one game short of a bowl was a big accomplishment for them. Plus having the so called no 1 pick in Locker returing for his senior year, caused the nationwide hype. This past year, the only real game that they have played decent in was the USC game, that can be an understatment as well giving up the huge amount of yards on the ground. The value that the linesmakers also put on the home field advantage for the Huskies is way to high. I live in seattle now and have been to husky games. Once the dogs get down, the crowd gets out of it reallyq quick.

OSU comes in with one the best backs the Pac 10 in Rogers. I look for him to run all over the vulenerable run D. Katz has also shown to be coming into form this season. The beavers are really one of the best 2 lost teams so far this year. Both of there loses came to top 5 teams in Boise State and TCU. Which by the way i beleive should be the national championship game. Oregon state has kept the game close against both of those two powers as well.

Sark, also doesnt seem to know to use Locker to his potential. So far it seems like the UW coaching staff, is trying more to turn Locker into a pro qb instead of trying to win games now. What they should be doing is rolling locker out of the pocket a little more , thus making use of his excelletn feet. Will give Locker the run pass option. Dont look for the huskies to change anything though, they seem to be stuborn as a rock in there play calling.

Take the Beavers and the point. Beavers win by 10+ not even close.

Washington never had any good players except Locker going in. As I said in my preseason write up, it is hard to imagine tis team winning a lot of games when they could not even qualify for a bowl game last season. It is great having a lot of returning players, as they did, but if these players are not real talented, you are not going to win a lot of games.

As far as this game is concerned, Oregon State loses it's best all around weapon in WR James Rodgers, who was also an extremely dangerous Punt returner and Kickoff returner. Without him, Oregon State becomes one dementional, depending more and more on Quizz. I think Oregon State has a slight edge, but I would not put money on it. Pass.

Hope you're right, as I'm on the Beavers at the worst possible number (-2.5).

This is exactly true abourt having lots of returners. People always talk about UW having the most experiences O line together. Well illl tell you exactly why that is true. When the starters now were all freshman they were so bad that they were all forced to start as freshamn. Thus giving them lots of game time and stats. We also fail to forget that they are also still playing together because none of them were that good where they were able to leave early for the NFL.

There is a reason why the line has swung from Oregon St -3 early to Wash -2 currently...and its not public money, its sharp money. OSU hasnt started 3-0 in conference play since 1968. Thats quite a long streak. Wash moneyline is the play.

                          True.

But the real question is can they beat Oregon State tomorrow?

I don't think they can. I am a Dawgs fan and will be at the game. I agree, Beavers roll. Linesmakers have been giving way too much credit to UW this season

great writeup, but im leaning washington here. Locker is a great player, he can put this game on his shoulders and win it for wash, hes done it b4...This is a great public perception game, Public backing USC and wash beats them, Public then backs Wash last week against zona st. and zona st. beats them, now everyones perception is that wash sucks and sees them giving pts to a ranked team and all of a sudden they suck again and have no chance cuz they lost to zona st. Don't get caught drinking the Jake Locker heisman kool-aid.

Locker is battling a pretty bad quad bruise that will impair his running ability.

UW has lots of injures to deal with. Including one of their starting WR's Devin Aguilar being out. Their O-line is banged up and they're gonna be forced to play MORE true freshman. Not a good sign...

If this OSU team can hang with TCU and Boise on the road, how can you believe they won't be able to deal with Washington?

Dose anyone fear the Beavers will have a let down week after going to Arizona and getting a win there?

UW is defiantly overrated, everyone knows the win over USC was nothing impressive.

My safe take on this game is the under i don't see the score totaling over 50.

Oregon State is the better team, and they have momentum only down 21-14 now, but something tells me that Washington is going to squeak out the win somehow.
