A&Ms offense has had much documented struggles in recent weeks with QB jerrod johnson giving away turnovers like its going out of style. They have ran the ball effectively but have gotten away from the run in the second half, and with Johnsons struggles, they need to place the offensive weight on the shoulders of their RB Christine Michaels. Meanwhile, this A&M defense is playing with shades of the Wrecking Crew of yesterday. After giving up 200yds of offense to Arkansas last week in the first quarter, the defense became an immovable object, only allowing 3 points to Arky in the second half, on a 3-and-out FG after turning the ball over.
Mizzou will be playing by far the best defense they have faced in the not so early season, and will be playing their first game outside of Missouri. An undefeated #20 ranked team on the road is 3.5 pt dogs for a reason. Mizzou has played well defensively this year and should contribute to preventing this game from becoming a shootout. Also, QB Blaine Gabbert left last weeks game early after suffering a hip pointer that should limit his mobility in the pocket, not good when going up against last years national sack leader in Von Miller.
I forsee an outcome of 27-20 or 24-20 in A&M's favor, I don't see either team hitting 30 pts, making the under a great play.
