    Oregon State +1 : Trap?
Washington looked awful at home against asu. This looks too easy. I know uw is resilient but are they really gonna find a way to win?

    I'm a UW fan and I don't think so.

this could be another very strange situation just like Arizona/Iowa earlier this year. Iowa was favored by 3 all week and the public was 70% Iowa on this forum. But on Sat, the line swung to Zona -3 due to heavy sharp action on the Wildcats. Even ESPN was talking about how the "pros" thought Zona would win. And Zona won and covered. This Wash/Oregon St line started at -2.5 for Oregon St on 5 Dimes, went to -3, then dropped all the way to +1!! This despite the public consensus heavy on State! I love the Beavs here too, but something is weird here. Im gonna wait to see what happens to the line as the week goes on.

I dont believe that games are fixed, but sometimes, I think the oddsmakers just KNOW stuff that most dont...and that gets reflected in their lines. Just my opinion. And remember, losing James Rodgers is a significant blow to OSU. Plus, theyve havent started 3-0 in conference play since 1968.

I must correct one part of my post...consensus is not HEAVY on OSU, but it is on the Beavers side.

Rogers is a huge blow! Wait till close to game time for the line movement. Washington will show up for this game. Could go either way.

Whenever I say "trap" I'm simply referring to a line where the books seem to know something the bettor doesn't. Or to put it another way, a line that looks like easy money to the average bettor.

For example, my brother texted to me (he does not gamble but knows I do), and said 'take oregon state theyre favored by 1 and will get crushed.' keep in mind he is a husky fan. Anyway the books know Oregon st looks good. They don't give away money. That is all. If that is flawed please let me know.

For me a trap is a line that looks so obvious it seems too easy....and probably 7/10 (more than by chance) these lines are. Nobody knows how they do it, and if they do they have a boatload of money and probably arnt here.

For UW this game means the season. They play at home after tough lost and Locker was under the weather.
OSU played good so far and QB is getting better, lost of Rogers will hurt but probably not enough to panic.
All in all line seems to be fair this is a tossup game in my opinion. I'm all for DAWGZ as a fan but think Mike Riley just better coach.
Not much betting advice, simply some view up close.

                          Good post Ras

I have followed the Huskies for years and I really like Oregon State in this one. I think the books might be messing with people's heads on purpose and it's apparently working.

Jake Locker is still very sick, and also has a thigh bruise and is listed as probable for Saturday. Devin Aguilar, UW's starting WR is likely out. Offensive lineman Kohler is out. UW will be adding another true freshman to it's starting lineup on the offensive line- not to mention shifting around the positioning of all the linemen.

There are no clear reasons why the line should be moving in UW's favor. I think they're playing games here
