When the line keeps moving up 44 - 44.5 - 45
Does that mean that more people keep betting the under? And is that why you kept adding more as the line continued to go up? So when more people bet the under @ 44, they adjust the line to 44.5?

Ngates, the line adjusts to where the $$ is being bet. In this case, if the line was moving up on the total, that means that people were betting the OVER. The books are adjusting the line with the precipice that if they move it up, more people will bet the UNDER and that would even out the $$ layed on the game. As far as it being "smart" money, that is dicey logic in betting. You may get a lot of idiots betting one side, and get one sharp guy throw down a lot on the opposite side and it balances out.Comment -

When the line moves, its being hit by someone, you never can be sure if its sharps, touts or the public. You play where you have an edge. I "thought" I had an edge at 44 so I added more at 45 and 45.5. Personally, the game lost, but aside from 3 bs touchdowns at the start of the 3rd quarter I think it should've went way under. Plus, there were 7 touchdowns and 0 fgs. Most sharps on here would say it was a bad play since it didn't beat the closing number, but thats another topic.
I think I've lost my last 2 or 3 (not sure which) posted plays...but out of 10 games on average your goal is to win ~5.6. 10 losses in a row are not uncommon.
