Can So Mississippi cover 14.5 @ Memphis and Ohio 16.5 vs Akron ?

Ohio U was actually on my list of potential plays. After doing some research it bacame clear that the line set for this game didn't make sense. Certainly Akron isn't the same scoring threat they have been in previous years but still there isn't anything that warrants Ohio being this much of a favorite.

I looked at look ahead potential and with Akrons record you really have no look ahead spots. Actually if either team has a reason to look past the other it is Ohio since Akron is down somewhat and Miami-Ohio is on tap for Ohio next week.

I started out wanting to take Ohio but ended up deciding this game would be a pass and if a gun to the head decision had to be made I would take the points and Akron.

Disclaimer: The way my year has been going read my opinion and take it with a grain of salt.

Check the injury report on Southern Miss. They're hurting pretty badly right now on both sides of the ball right now.

OU has almost doubled their rushing yards per game in the last couple of games - mostly behind Bates who ran for 142 against Bowling Green last week. Akron has been giving up more than 37ppg and have the 2nd worst ranked offense in the nation. Just my $0.02 but OU laying the points, and keep your fingers crossed.
