Nothing like an 0-3 start to the week. Should be fun to dig myself out of this one. I am beating myself up. Not because Marshall and Kansas never stood a chance, not because the dogs are 0-3 so far and not because So Fla offense again blew the cover. But because in all honesty if these games were played on Saturday I would have only played So Fla. That was the only play I felt comfortable with. I tried to find an edge in the other two games and thought I had. Sometimes when you try to reach for plays this is what happens. Anyway, won't happen again.

It might be time to start fading USF from here on out. This Daniels kid might be good next year or his senior year, but he's horrible right now.

I don't know, I just watched him do well and kill this WVU defense last year. He is never going to be high completion guy but his ability to make plays with his feet make up for that. Not last night though. But that defense isn't something to forget, I knew their speed would neutralize WVU's offense and if that pick didn't happen right before half this is a 13-6 game we cover.

Be careful Jets are no "flash in the pan" team. Remember they only lost to Baltimore 10-9 and could have easily won that game had they opened up their playbook like they have since week 2. They can easily be 5-0 instead of 4-1.

I think the Jets are dangerous because they have all the tools to win on the road and as long as Sanchez isn't throwing picks all over the Jets will have a shot any day. They have a coach who wants to win and aren't scared of anyone. But they just don't match up here.

How about Kansas State? That's messed up, what was the spread, what a game. I guess we should take them a little more seriously?

So you're saying that a team that beat UCF at home by only four, and then after a bye week loses to Nebraska at home by 35 is a team we should take a little more seriously? Beating Kansas is no accomplishment.

BJ, I was just reading an article about the UNC/UVA game and that streak actually goes back to 1981. That's the last time UNC has won in Charlottesville. UVA has won 14 consecutive home games vs UNC, spanning almost 30 years now, and they are 20-7-1 vs UNC since 1982. They even won last season in Chapel Hill with a terrible 3-9 team. Beat the Heels 16-3.

What are you talking about.....the Broncos are not a good team this year at stopping the run. The Jets bread and butter is the run. Plus the Jets have won 5 straight road games. Revis still might play also. If anything, the Broncos don't match up against the Jets here.

And don't forget, there is not going to be a 14 win NFL team this year. It's so parodied that you'll be lucky to have more than one 13 win team this season. The Jets are certainly a 12-4 caliber team....Broncos not more than a 9-7 team.

Listen I see your name "NY", maybe a little Jet bias. Personally, I am a Giants fan. But, why can't the Broncos stop the run? They had a bad game against the Ravens on defense. It's one thing to try to stop the run on the road, at home they are allowing just 74 ypg on the ground. But my main point is the Jets can have their success on the ground but with this offense of the Broncos eventually it's going to be on Sanchez and if it is we will see what he really is. The Jets defense doesn't match up with the Broncos. Orton should have his way. Jets better team, if better team won every game I would be a millionaire.

I posted my picks for tomorrow and I have to agree on almost all that i am playing. I think Iowa rolls pretty easily. Michigans defense is just terrible and Iowa has had a week to prepare for this one. It's tough for one guy to beat 11 every singl week. I think Michigan State showed that last weekend. I am not betting the Texas game but I would definetly lean on Texas. I think it is a good spot for them to cover the ten points. Thats alot of points to give Texas. Everyone is all over Nebraska, I think they might be dissapointed. I am playing Arkansas too. Auburn cant continue to win these games and Arkansas is for real. Not a big Mallet fan but I think he gets the job done against Auburn. Hopefully he learned alot from the Alabama game. you know I have been all over Air Force all week. I will be really scratching my head saturday night if I lose this one. Not playing the Wisconsin but I think OSU has a ver tough time on Saturday and I am still not sold on Pryor. Hope you cash on all of your picks and pull out of this small, very small slump. GL

Well I knew this day was coming. A nice chunk lost in NCAAF. It just didn't work out today. My leans were hitting, my plays weren't. I did read through the thread though and pointed out a few things I didn't like. I was leaning a lot on trends this week way more then the actual match up itself, something I don't like to do or think is profitable. I like to cap based on match ups, what teams do, how they match up, who plays well where, what they have to play for, and who will be playing harder. Whatever, I can blame it on a busy week and being unfocused. I could blame it on maybe one too many late nights, I can blame it on getting over confident. But, I just capped bad this week. Instead of getting down about giving back that much money I need to buckle down, focus and get it back next week. Not all at once, just get back to winning week after winning week and hopefully build another run.

Some of those lines are right on the money. Amazing. One thing I noticed at one of my books is that Oklahoma is giving 3 whereas you've got Mizzou at +9 from your quick estimates. Trouncing A&M is one thing, taking Oklahoma is another thing altogether.
