To beat LSU, Bama had to throw the ball first. Instead, they ran at a great run "D". LSU had not faced a good passing team all yr, Saban should have figured that out.

I completely disagree. Alabama's problem during this "slump" is that they have been putting too much on McElroys plate. We've been getting into 2 and 10 and 3 and 7+ too much. McElroy has had to hold the ball too long, looking for the big play, and he ends up in the dirt or throwing a bad pass. Behind McElroy you have a Heisman winning halfback, who will easily be a top 5 HB in the NFL within his first couple of season, and b ehind him you have a running back who is even better! Richardson and Ingram are first down machines. We should be jamming the ball down their throats, and pass when they move the secondary up. We have an awesome receiver core, but between McElroy being pressured into making bad throws, and some receivers "hot and cold" hands, we can't base a game plan off the passing attack. Honestly, most of LSU's points can be put on one players shoulders. Barron. He was giving up big plays left and right, missing tackles, splitting off into the wrong off into the wrong coverage, etc. I'm not your typical Bama fan though, I can take a loss, it is just sad that we didn't live up to our potential in either loss, or any of our games for that matter.
