Rutgers vs. Connecticut
this game looks to be played, on the ground. Connecticut averages 209 rush yards and Rutgers averages 145 rush yards per game. With that said, Rutgers only averages 3.7 yard per carry. These 2 teams average only 334 yards per game thru the air. (combined). This is 47 yards under what their opponents yield. With that said, these 2 defenses only give up 363 passing yards per game.(combined). This is 17 yards better than their opponents. Therefore, it look like there will only be about 317 passing yards in this game.(combined).

Based on the points scored I have Uconn at a 7 point favorite. Factor in SOS and uconn goes to a 13 point favorite. Give Rutgers 2 points for home field(a bad team at home does not deserve anymore than 2 points) and I have arrived at UCONN -11.
Rutgers should have lost to Florida Int'l and they did lose to Tulane, at home(homecoming). Take away their 31-0 against Norfolk State and they have 46 points scored, in 3 straight bad games. rutgers qb-1 is questionable with a couple different ailments.

I want to take the under but you never know so I'll take UCONN. i want to take rutgers under 19.5 but i like the side better.

Oklahoma State at La Lafayette

I dont like the 24 point spread but you just cant take La-Lafayette in this matchup. Statistically this is one of the biggest mismatches we will see this year. based on point differential compared to who these teams have played I got Oklahoma State by 49. I cant give LaLaf 25 points for home field advantage. With that said I am not going to back a -24 on the road either. But, comsidering I think OSU should win by 40+ I will take

OSU over 43 points 3 units.

(60-19 is what I came up with). I can be off by alot and still be happy. We shall see.

I have figured that OSU should be about 275 yards better than LALAF and OSU should easily give up 250 yards. Over 525 yards of offense will score 43 easy.

Saturday was a decent day. Could have been better if Kentucky and USC coulda pulled it out. A win's a win though, and Saturday was a win.

first line that jumped out at me this week is,
Syracuse -1.5.
i think every non-gambler, non syracuse fan, man that watches college football would take pitt as an underdog. with that said there are 31% of wagers on syracuse. i actually thought this would be lower, which tells me that the sharps really like syracuse. also, the line has moved from opening dog to favorite and a 4 point move already.

looking ahead to the weekend we have to take a long hard look at Northwestern. As of right now the line moves are favoring a straight up victory for the Wildcats. Michigan State not road tested and highest bcs ranking ever. Also, think Oregon better be ready as UCLA will be looking to shock another top ranked team. Should be a lot closer "than the experts think".
