Take the Huskers. Kansas State is not that good. They are very one dimensional. They do have a decent running back but that's about it. Central Florida held Kansas State to 83 yards rushing and Central Florida's defense is no where close to Nebraska's. Kansas State's only inpressive win was against UCLA the first game..... where they rushed for 313 yards! No way a Pelini defense is going to allow that.
Nebraska will be up for this game. They have actually played better on the road this year and really want to come out and prove something this game. We play Texas 9 days later but with 2 straight losses I dont see Nebraska worried about that game as much now so I dont expect the Huskers to look past Kansas State. In Nebraska's last game they beat a div 2 school 17-3 as 42 point favorites. They had a bye week the following week so the Huskers have not played for almost 2 weeks. (actually the way they played against South Dakota State they have not played football for 3 weeks! )
Taylor Martinez has been criticized for almost 2 weeks now for his performance in their last game. They have seemed to identify the problems in his last game and I really think he will have a great game.
Huskers are refocused here!

Go with the Huskers on this one. I agree, they have something to prove this week after the embarrassing game. Bo and his coaches are good about fixing problems and as someone else stated they are good on the road. I think 12 is a gift at this point!

Arthur and Bryce are not eligible until next year. KSU might be looking to make a run in the next 1-2 years, but they are missing some critical pieces this year, namely QB and LB's. Nebraska is catching them at a good time and KSU will struggle to stop Martinez when he runs. Hate to say it being from the area, but I see NU rolling in this similar to a score mentioned previously NU 45 KSU 17. Only way that does not happen in my opinion is if NU turns ball over 3 times or more. They are obviously capable of doing that (See Iowa State last year and many games before and after), but I don't think they do it here. Too much focus and motivation. Don't forget, Little Bo Peep does not like Snyder after the whooping KSU put on them in Lincoln a few years back. He will keep the peddle down if they get up.

Nebraska -12
KSU's 4-0 record is very deceptive. They're not anywhere as good as that record. Nebraska will cover the spread with ease.

I cannot pick a side on this one. Maybe a small play on the under? Lots of running in this one could speed up the game.

At first glance I would say Nebraska by 2 TD's. But I'll look much closer at it later.

KSU's record is looking better each week. UCLA is showing to be a decent team and UCF could hang with most BCS schools. Iowa State also hung 52 on Texas Tech. If anything, KSU's 4-0 is more impressive than Nebraska's. Not sure that really is a good indicator in picking this game, but saying KSU record is deceptive is not correct.

Basically I see a 10 point + favorite on the road in a conference game. KState opponents have a winning record at 11-8, Nebraska opponents have gone 5-12, Experienced QB at home vs inexperienced QB first conference road game. K State has a history of covering in this game. This is why I have an account at Bodog, K State + 12

The knee-jerk reaction is to take Nebraska but a couple of things come into play. First off, a trip to Manhattan is never easy. Secondly, this is a nationally televised game for K-State, which will want to put on display that Bill Snyder has brought them back to relevance.
Nebraska has had some problems stopping the run this year. Their run defense is ranked 51st in the nation, giving up just under 140 per game. We're talking 100+ yard rushers against Western Kentucky and South Dakota...ouch. K-State's Daniel Thomas could be the best back in the Big 12. In most cases, that would be a big red flag.
On top of that, Kansas State is coming off a bye week so they've had extra time to prepare.
The problem for the Wildcats is that they are too one-dimensional. Their passing game is brutal all the way around and Nebraska can really load up the box to stop Thomas. UCF did the same thing.
Overall, Nebraska isn't intimidated by Manhattan (34-7-2 there) and they'll add one more W in their Big 12 farewell but I think Kansas State covers.
Take K-State +12.

How are they over rated? They will be in the BCS title game IMO. Watch how they bust a nut in KSU's eye tonight. Huskers by 30+

I feel the same tonight about the dogs that I have all week and they have been clowned. Obviously since that's not working, I'm going to fade myself tonight and take the Huskers.
