Thursday: Texas A&M @ Oklahoma - My Take
So... I don't do many write-ups on games, but I figured I would be giving in my 2 cents on this Thursday night game.

    Texas A&M (3-0) @ Oklahoma St. (3-0)

At first glance, you've got a "solid defense" vs. "high-powered offense" - however, both teams have played 3 crappy opponents (for the most part) and both teams are unproven.
I'll get down to business: the public is ALL OVER Oklahoma St -3 and the OVER. Who wouldn't be?

For a change, the public may be right... Here's some supporting evidence:
Why pick Oklahoma St (Trends over last 3 seasons):
    1) Oklahoma St as a Favorite: 18-1 SU / 13-5 ATS
    2) Texas A&M as an Underdog: 2-12 SU / 4-9 ATS
    3) Oklahoma St at home: 15-3 SU / 10-6 ATS
    4) Texas A&M on road: 3-6 SU / 3-6 ATS
    5) In the last 7 meetings, the OVER is 5-2 however only 2 games have gone OVER 67... In both meetings, the HOME TEAM won by a huge margin

With the Oklahoma St ML at -140 @ 5Dimes I'll be making a 2x play on the spread, and a 5x play on the ML despite the juice.

I am staying far away from the O/U due to the fact that Oklahoma St puts up an avg of 57 pts/gm and A&M gives up 14 pts/gm... they still haven't proved anything to anyone.

Comments are welcome, good luck with your picks

        It's Oklahoma STATE.
        These trends mean almost nothing.
You need to learn which trends are meaningful.
These are different teams than are reflected in these trends.
Trend that matters? Example is Texas & Oklahoma: bet against them the week before they play.
They protect and even rest their banged up players, especially stars, and also do not want to show anything complicated on offense.

For what it's worth A&M is 1-7 ATS L8 on Thursdays.

Sorry all, I edited the post. I used all stats for Oklahoma St. - I am typing this late at night, I just kept forgetting to write in the "State". My apologies. Like I said, I don't do write ups often. Just wanted to share some information. Thanks!
