    I love this play.

Notre Dame has burned me in the past (Purdue 09), they have also won me money (USC '09).

The more I look at this matchup---the more I love it. BC is starting a kid who has never played a down of college football. Compare that to the guys ND has faced----Denard Robinson, Cousins, and Andrew Luck.

Yeah, I am pretty sure Rettig is no Andrew Luck.

Brian Kelly can coach football, he has proven that everywhere he has been. He may not have his guys in place to run the spread---he still should have enough to beat BC.

    I am on ND.

Now---let the beating commence.....but you have to let me up after I pass out.

I dont really think thats a bad play at all. Its very smart considering the qb situation and the fact that ND has to win eventually.

Unfortunately people will always be critical towards popular teams on a nat'l stage such as ND or the yankees, cowboys etc...

I like it. BC is starting a true freshman at qb. Tall order when your first game is against a ND team hungry for a win.

It's a square play, but the right one in my opinion.

              I think ND rolls here.

This is not a bad play. I like BC's D but that offense is terrible. ND should cover this easily.

The players are pissed too, it isn't like when Weis was coaching and they would just roll over and play dead. These guys genuinely hate losing and I think they will try to get that taste out of their mouth this weekend. Good luck!

This is a solid play. BC is a terrible team, especially on offense. Just benched their starter while the QB they ran off is tearing it up at ECU.

ND fans: prepare for a 5 game winning streak.

Agreed. And not sure why this play is not getting more attention. Offensively challenged BC starting "true" freshman qb, against ND team that knows it is on the cusp of a lost season if they don't get a win here. ND has lost to three teams currently in the top 25...the only game that got away from them was Stanford (no shame there). Spot for them to right the ship against a team that has two wins against inferior competition. I do not think this program will get away from Kelly like it did from his predecessor, the blob. Great spot for an undervalued ND team...I think they rolll here.

This game played out exactly like we thought it would.

Actually makes me think a broken clock can be right once in a while.

BC struggled as I thought----and ND took advantage. BC had 5 yards rushing.
