    USC lands number one 2009 recruit
    USC has received a verbal commitment from quarterback Matt Barkley, the number one rated Rivals 2009 recruit. If they can keep him, and they usually do just that, it's another big time score for Pete Carroll.

              as ive said many times, USC pays well. they already have 5 of the top 100 locked in for 09. well, verbals anyway.
